I loved the whole experience, especially the changing of the guards. It is hard to put into words what I was feeling while there. I would recommend it to family and friends.

Visiting family friend fathers gravesite . Excellent tour however one younger female tour guide spoke too fast and could not understand. Other three guides were excellent.

Wonderful tour! The tomb of the unknown soldier and changing of the guards was our highlight. I liked being able to hop off or stay on the tour as desired.

Great! The cemetery is big and it was a very hot and humid day. The tour allowed us to see the cemetery without having to walk for miles in the heat.

Parking teller machine.
EFRAIN_R
, Jul 2022
At the end, paying for parking was a mess. You need several self pay teller machines. One is not enough for all the people that were leaving at the same time!!! And operating the parking teller machine was unfriendly. Everyone had difficulty making the transactions on the machine. This definitely needs immediate attention Now! The overall experience was ok.. Except at the end where we all had to pay for parking.

We discovered the story behind the founding of Arlington National Cemetery and it’s link to George & Martha Washington and Robert E. Lee. The Caisson Platoon at Arlington passed by us near the Arlington House. It is a scene that defines Arlington National Cemetery and reminds us this cemetery is no outdoor museum— it is an active cemetery. We saw the Caisson Platoon of the Third Infantry Regiment, the Old Guard, the oldest infantry unit in the United States Army on their way to a most solemn duty. Officers of the Army and Marines who reached the rank of colonel or above, as well as Presidents of the United States of America, a riderless horse, with an empty saddle and boots turned backwards, can be included.

Easy way to get all the highlights of Arlington

This tram will save A LOT of walking and you can take as much time at each stop as you would like. Advance tickets are not necessary so just buy them at the gate when you get there and don't tie yourself to a specific date. Trams run every 20 min. We spent about 2 hours and even watched the impressive changing of the guard through twice.

Only good because of the summer heat and far walk. The driver didn't stop at most of the stops, he completely skipped the Iwo Jima statue and the Vietnam War memorial.

Needs more trolleys
Agnieszka_D
, Jul 2022
Going to Arlington cemetery is definitely a must. I just wish they had trolleys more frequently. The tour is not long,, only 3 stops and trolleys run every 30 min. That is a long time sitting in the July sun.

Arrived and was unable to pull our tickets up on your app. Had to purchase additional tickets at the cemetery so tickets went unused!

The tour allows you to jump on a and off a large open air trolley bus that has 3 stops during it's circuit around Arlington. You can hop on and off at any of the stops and also go around as many times as you want. All the guides on our legs were very informative and it was a a nice way of supplementing your own walking around the cemetery. Please note, Arlington is a working cemetery and there were 28 funerals take day we were there (typical day). As you would expect, the funerals are the most important thing, so we had a few times where we were sitting on the bus for 10 mins or so, waiting for permission to carry on. All in all, I would recommend - it costs nothing to get into Arlington and walk, but £15 per person for the convenience of the tour seems a reasonable thing.

This is a must if you are on a multiple day sightseeing trip of DC. Easy enjoyable way to save your legs a bit and hear interesting history and facts from guides. Especially if you are visiting DC in the summer heat.

The tour provides a perspective of how vast the cemetery is. Very sombering and emotional tour seeing the cemetery of our country's service members. Great way to navigate the cemetry to see some key highlights if you have never been and had no family or friends to pay respects to. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and considerate.

Worth the cost
renee_f

The commentary was very informative. You had to look very quickly to see the particular graves they referenced and no way to grab a quick picture due to how quickly we were moving. Plenty of room on the “trains” but they didn’t come around as frequently as maybe they should for July days in DC. When we arrived back at the welcome center there were quite a few not even in use. They could have sent those more frequently.

Easy trip around Arlington
Lisa_L
, Jul 2022
Using this service made getting around Arlington with kids so much easier! It was informative and we were able to see many of the sites we had hoped to visit. It was very hot though, and some people were trying to crowd onto the tram, even though the workers were asking to people to wait in line and board in some sort of order, so that made it a little chaotic, but all in all, we would absolutely recommend it!
