Nature and history abound at the 27-acre Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, just minutes from the bustle of downtown Vancouver. Set within the unique environment of British Columbia’s cedar-scented rainforest, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and brand new Cliffwalk allow you to delve into nature’s beauty while kicking up the adrenaline.

Originally built in 1889, the 450 foot long Capilano Suspension Bridge soars 230 feet above the Capilano River and is your gateway to the forest beyond. Take your time crossing this magnificent structure while enjoying the spectacular view of the canyon and river below.

Upon reaching the other side, discover the Treetops Adventure, a series of interconnected suspension bridges that travel high above the forest floor through the lush evergreen foliage of towering Douglas firs. Viewing platforms nestled into the tree canopy give you a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal forest.

But for a real thrill, the awe-inspiring Cliffwalk is not to be missed. This amazing walkway juts out from the granite cliff of Capilano Canyon and takes guests to areas of the park that were previously unexplored. High and narrow, Cliffwalk is not for the feint of heart. A series of cantilevered, suspended walkways hug the face of the cliff.

Beyond these main activities, there are plenty of ways to explore the rich history and unique ecosystem of the park. Interactive displays and informative panels offer insight into the forest’s ecology with fun facts and identification clues. Guided history tours are offered hourly and are a great way to learn about the park’s colorful past. A stroll through majestic evergreens and past tranquil ponds with one of the park’s naturalists is a fantastic way to learn about the flora and fauna of the old-growth rain forest and discovery the mysteries of this unique Vancouver environment.

The cliff walk was fantastic. We even saw a bald eagle perched in a tree

So worth the price of admission. We spent almost 4 hours there. It was so amazing that we could be surrounded by a forest with trees that were 400 years old and then step out and be in the city of North Vancouver

Natural beauty and human artistry

We visited Vancouver the last week in December and had heard that Capilano had some great holiday light displays. The price seemed a bit high but it turned out to be money well spent. It was easy to get from our vacation rental to Canada Place by Skytrain and the shuttle picked us up right in front. We arrived at the park in the late afternoon when there was still enough daylight to see the natural beauty in and around the canyon. After dinner at the restaurant (pretty good and not TOO expensive) it was dark enough to enjoy the holiday lights. Not quite as spectacular as those at Butchart Gardens but very nice indeed.

Company poor service

When we were on the way to Capilano, Our driver said some attraction is closed so they offered us 30% discount. And then the agents told us we have to contact to refund our ticket first because it is from third hand. We contacted one of your agent and he said No because i did mistakes to buy it wrong day. He should tell me a better way NOT just saying NO. We could not enjoy our day off. We could buy a annual ticket with 30% discount. What a wasted money. Anyways It was bad experience through your website.

Definitely glad I went. The heights are not for the faint of the heart. The views are amazing and so much to see. The shuttles come frequently, but I'd recommend getting on the first bus. It can get crowded pretty quick so the earlier the better.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

This was an awesome experience! Highlights of the park would include the Suspension Bridge, Tree Tops Adventure Walk and of course the Cliff Walk. Furthermore, the natural beauty of the forest was amazing. The Trading Post was well stocked and staff were helpful and friendly. Food options on offer were good. Had a tasty burger at the Logger's Grill with some Vanilla Orange Coke! The free shuttle service arrived on time at the designated pick up points. I would highly recommend it a visit to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.

Too Much Walking

If you like walking and climbing stairs and hiking this venture is right for you. But if you are older or have a disability forgo this event. There were lots of children and teens at the park running around with no supervision and they were bumping into adults and jumping on the bridge and trying to make it more fun for them and not following the rules posted. We paid for 2 adult tickets and of course didn't hike and walk the whole park. I did both bridges and my husband sat with his rollater and waited. I think there should be a discount ticket for people with disabilities. Not worth the price I paid for both of us.

Capilano Suspension Bridge park was very pretty. It was also very crowded. No space by yourself really. The shuttle was worth it not to have to drive out and find parking.
