This was a two part experience. The tour with Tours Northwest was an excellent experience, our tour guide John was what you want in a tour guide; he was knowledgeable, personable, and flexible. Mt. Rainier park was enormous and eye opening. Definitely a place I plan to return in the future. On the negative side Viator as a booking agent was an absolute nightmare. Received numerous error messages and in trying to confirm my reservation was told that none existed and after 90 minutes in trying to get this resolved - finally gave up in frustration. Didn’t receive the confirmation until 12 hours prior to the tour and was able to cancel our alternate plans. I would never use Viator to book another tour.

Loved the variety of scenery! From deep forest to rocky riverbeds, to snowy mountain lodge. Ron, our guide, was so invested in our experience. He wanted to maximize the time we had and made sure to give us options so all voices were heard. It was great to be surrounded by people from so many different parts of the world.

The trip was perfect. Lucinda was explaining a lot of details. She managed the group very well. She made some variations to the tour so we could enjoy the trip more and we definitely did.

Lucinda was a great tour guide. She kept us informed every step of the way about what we were about to see, when to expect upcoming bathrm breaks, checking in if we were comfortable temp-wise, etc., and made sure we could get food for ourselves. We had opportunities to see the mtn from various views, snow, the inns, and a beautiful waterfall. Only thing that could have been better was 5 more minutes at each stop!

Wow, Jennifer! Thanks for your excellent review of our Mt Rainier Tour - we think Lucinda is pretty great, too, and will be sure to pass your words along to her as well. Happy Travels!

    Stress free sight seeing
    Monica_C
    , Jun 2022
This was a stress free trip - I was hesitant coz its a little pricey but taking the stress out of driving from Seattle to Mt Rainier is worth it. The tour guide (sorry forget her name) was very knowledgeable about history of Mt Rainier and history itself. She took us to good places to take pictures and was very considerate to travelers by giving enough bathroom breaks. The stopover at Paradise was 40 mins, I think extra 30 mins would have been nice, we dis not get yo do anything else but eat lunch - we did not get to see around there, my sons were quite disappointed that we have to leave without going to the bunny hill. Otherwise its still good trip

Really disappointed with the tour guides lack of knowledge and the amount of times he took one hand off the steering wheel to check his cue card. We were expecting to do more hiking and spend more time out doors and we’re disappointed by the amount of time spent on the bus or how many times we stopped for a quick photo-op. I would not categorize this as an adventure tour. Our tour guide was, hands down, my least favorite tour guide of any experience.

Hi Lia, Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback on this tour. I have identified the guide on your tour and provided this information to their supervisor. We feel it truly is the guide who makes the tour and I'm sorry we fell short with you in that department. If you're able to reach out to us directly, please ask for Nicole so I can discuss options to make this right with you. Thanks again and best travel wishes to you in the future!

The trip was a memorable one at that. My wife and myself had booked the tour to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Started off great and ended even better. The drive was simply out of the world and we were left in awe and wanting for more.
