Tuesday - Wednesday:10:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Present your voucher for admission at The Museum of Flight, then start your tour of air and space with a flight-themed 3D movie in the museum’s 3D movie theater.

Continue into a hangar to see some of the more than 150 aircraft on display, including a faithful replica of the plane that Amelia Earhart disappeared in, the very first flight-worthy Boeing 747, a sailplane, Aerocar, and a human-powered MacCready Gossamer Albatross II.

The museum also has a full-sized mockup of a Space Shuttle Orbiter, the kind used for training before space missions. Exhibits change frequently, but all explore the wonder and technology of flight, from the earliest planes to the frontiers of space exploration. On clear days, don’t miss the views from the T. Evans Wyckoff Memorial Bridge, where you’ll have views of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Mount Rainier.

Fascinating experience with a lot of details about the history of aviation. No interactive experiences due to covid, but enjoyable none the less.

Full Day Event for an Aviation Enthusiast

This was the perfect indoor activity on a rainy day. The museum is well laid-out with TONS of placards to read and things to look at. I spent 5 hours here (no joke) and didn't even make it to the Red Barn (history of Boeing) or the outdoor airfield. I'll definitely be back! 10/10, would recommend.

Great time at the museum of flight

Great time, my wife and children loved it! As well as myself. I can't say enough about the exhibits and the work that has been put into them. The personal courage wing was mine and my son's favorite! My daughter loved that there was a F-14 tomcat in the aviation pavilion. My wife enjoyed the apollo exhibit.

Interesting museum

We liked the museum very much. There are interesting expositions there. If you have any questions - there are gentlemen in every exposition - I don't know if they are employed or they are volunteers, as they looked like they might be retired pilots - who are happy not only to answer your questions but also provide some additional information you would not even think to ask about. It was cool to see all those old airplanes and the original Boeing wooden building where the factory kind of started. My husband is a pilot himself, so it was exciting for him to see how the Jep's Charts were started. The weather was bad and we didn't have much time, so we never went to outside exhibit to see the big airplanes, We will be back sometime, when again in Seattle. I also want to give the extra credit to the Viator and museum stuff for been flexible and accommodating. I made a mistake while making the reservation at Viator and didn't notice that next day date just populated into reservation. So instead of making a reservation on the day we needed - I made a reservation for the next day. I noticed it the second after I booked the reservation. But because it was next day - the reservation was not changeable and/or refundable. First when I called Viator they weren't very helpful, but they did send the request to the museum about the date change. They also told me to call the museum, which I did - to be told that we are going to be at the mercy of the person who will be at the museum admission the day we actually come to the museum: they might still let us use the Viator voucher, but they might not. But the next day I got an e-mail from Viator that my date was changed to the date I needed! Thank you!

Don't miss this outstanding Museum of Flight while in Seatle!

We spent a whole day mesmerized by this interesting jewel near SEATAC Airport. We saw space history with the special exhibit featuring the Space Program from Russia's sputnik, Apollo 11, the moon rover, and so much more. The WWI and WWII exhibits complete with planes, jeeps, etc. was excellent. I enjoyed all of the planes and jets exhibited especially Air-force One used by Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon, and Johnson. Actually walking through the aircraft was amazing. We also watched a 3-D movie about space.

Truly an amazing museum - I spent 3 hours here was compressed due to a flight home later on and only just managed to get it all done - so worth it though. If I had more time I would have checked out the cinema small additional fee and spent longer at the exhibits - but I managed to explore all the facets including all the aircraft open for inspection including one of the original 747 tester aircraft, older version of Air Force One and more!. I was heading there with my suitcase and the staff very kindly had a secure room to store your bags in before jetting off!
