Amazing

This hike was so amazing!! It was definitely worth the money because it’s an all day tour. Our tour guide Benjamin was amazing. He told us all about the history on the way up there and answered all the questions we had. Would highly recommend doing this.

Too expensive, excellent driver, overall a worthy experience but needs to be at more affordable price.

This was overall a great experience, however I think it's far too costly for what it is. The driver was on time, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend him and it made it a nice experience. My complaint though is that it's unclear what kind of tour of this is (group or private, mine was private but I wasn't sure), and it's simply too expensive. It's mostly just a car hire with a driver. If I would do it again I would rent a car and do it myself, because you can hire a guide at the trailhead (which is what happened in this case anyway), or find a more affordable group tour.

Santa Ana Volcano

The hike was great, the views were great and the small talks about the vegetation and history of surrounding volcanoes was great too. Our excursion said we had a boxed lunch included, which there was not. Instead we were taken to a restaurant by the lake where we had to pay for our lunch and have musicians come to our table to try and make extra coin. I thought we would actually take a walk around the lake, or at least go near it, but it was just a lake side lunch that was provided in terms of “lake viewing included” on this tour. The guide was great.

I hiked Sta Ana Volcano today and I could say this has been one of the best tours I have been after travelling in almost 70 countries! The guide Mr Benjamin Franklin was enthusiastic, super knowledgeable guide and had the funniest laugh. COVID precautions were observed by the guide and the company which is very impressive. The guide explained everything to me patiently and walked with my pace, I think he felt that I walk fast and boy did he go fast. I do not have any negatives for this experience! Sta Ana volcano is magnificent and must see, don’t miss your chance and book with them! 5 star experience!

Top of El Salvador

As you continue hiking up Santa Ana, the views progressively get better. The terrain definitely requires hiking boots or high ankle shoes with good grip. Once we reached the top, it was great to see a guy selling "paletas" or ice cream. You can roam around the top of Santa Ana and view Lake Coatepeque and the other moutainous peaks. Benjamin was our tour guide and did an amazing job along with Fidel getting us up the volcano and back down safely. Looking forward to the next time in El Sal to head back up!

Santa Ana Volcano Hike

My Tour guid for this hike was amazing he picked me on time from my hostal and we beat traffic to the volcano the ride was about and hour before we arrived at the volcano he offers to stop at a gas station to get waters and restroom break. The home itself took me about 3 hours round trip. My tour guid was patient and could name almost every plant on the trail it was very interesting. Once you arrive at the top there a man up there who was a chest full of popsicles 10/10 recommended/needed! The view at the top is breathtaking and is a must do in El Salvador 🇸🇻

We had a wonderful time hiking the Santa Ana volcano! Words cannot describe the views from up top! Our tour guide was great and made sure we had a good time. Just know it definitely is not a moderate hike!!

Had a great experience on this tour! Irving was a wonderful guide. The hotel pickup was very convenient and was very prompt as well. Irving had a lot to share about El Salvador and the volcano itself. We had a great lunch with a view of the lake. The hike can be a little difficult at times but take your time, and you will make it up in 1hr 15 - 2hrs depending on fitness levels. Would recommended to anyone that is looking to explore the nature of El Salvador.
