Nice ride!

Francesco was so nice -driver and horseback ride guide . Very caring and careful for our safety. We rode up into canyon.
Broken Back Mountain
, Apr 2022
The trail was rocky and going uphill half the time and downhill the other half. You're actually on the horse for 2.5 hours. I'm not sure about other people but that was too much for me to handle. My entire body was aching after this tour. I held on to the saddle so tightly that even my fingers were sore. The guide will take many pictures of the group and will share them with you if you pay $25. I suggest you take your own photos -although that said, it is very difficult to take photos since the path was not an easy one. The lunch tasted good at the time but later that evening, my husband was purging out of both ends. Timing-wise, we were able to link it to the lunch. The sun was extremely strong, be sure to cover everything. I had a few small parts of my neck exposed and was terribly burned after. All in all, I'd say this is a rugged tour with very little interaction with the guide outside of the horseback riding lesson provided. The view from the top of the canyon was gorgeous but if I could go back in time I would not take this tour because it was a bit too intense for my husband and I.
Amazing experience not at all touristy

This was such an amazing experience!!! The ranch is beautiful, the canyon incredible, and the cowboys/girls were unbelievable nice! I can’t wait to do this again!
Galloping in the desert

This was such an incredible experience! Great intro to western style riding, in a breathtaking location. Well worth the cost- would come back in a heartbeat!
A Tremendous Adventure
, Feb 2022
We will never forget this powerful experience. We felt so incredibly well taken care of from the moment we arrived at the Coyote Canyon office in San Miguel. Our guide helped us practice our Spanish while understanding the need to clarify when we didn't know certain words. He was charming and wonderfully knowledgable of the history of the area as well as the local communities. The horses were well-trained and calm, and riding with the Coyote Canyon team (and their dogs) truly surrounded us with such a fondness for the land and a love for the rawness of the terrain. For those looking to get photos, our guide created many opportunities and was fantastically generous in taking many shots. If you're looking for an adventure of a lifetime, I highly recommend choosing this escapade.
Professional and fun

Was a great time. Variety of terrain with beautiful views. Well mannered horses. The staff and cowboys are excellent and the most professional. Would come again.

The view from the top, all the spectacular flora. The horses were well trained, and we loved the singing vaqueros.

My family and I had never been horseback riding before, and this was an excellent first experience! Friendly people, tame horses, and beautiful views. It was a fun and challenging ride, definitely a peak experience! We loved it so much that we're considering goin another time in the future! Thank you to all the team members who made this possible!!! :) :)
The highlight of the tour was rappelling. I have rappelled before but...Expect to be shocked by the distance
, Mar 2020
By far the best horseback riding of my life! Galloping was so fun... a first for me. The narrow canyon trails with stunning vistas was outstanding! Not an spec of civilization is sight. As natural as it gets. The cowboys were attentive and kind. The simple Lunch was delicious and filling. I highly recommend this tour.
