This is perfect and incredibly well organized and executed tour

Wow! An entire day of some of the most stunning and beautiful sites Costa Rica has to offer visitors. It is the beginning of rainy season now and it definitely poured down rain on part of our tour but it never slowed us down. Incredibly well organized and well executed by our tour guide to managed translations in Spanish and English seamlessly. We drove in and stayed the night before the tour at a hotel that was listed on the pick up locations. It was about an hour and a half from our hotel in los Suenos. The tour description says wheelchair accessible and I would recommend they remove that. We walked up to 4 miles and climbed about 14 stories based on my iPhone activity app. There really is very few options to bypass the walking and climbing up and climbing down the stairs and see much of anything on the store. It is also not stroller friendly. One thing I would’ve love to see is a list of things to pack… And maybe recommend a small lightweight bag to hold purchases. We were able to leave things on the bus while we were at each event which was perfect.

This tour included so many different experiences. From the coffee tour to the volcano and then through the animal reserve and waterfalls, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was a full day experience that included a bit of travel between interesting spots. The coffee tour was interesting and our guide flawlessly led in both Spanish and English. We spoke frankly about coffee as well as the economic factors that drive coffee production today. Jose was knowledgeable and forthcoming with interesting information. We then got so lucky during put visit to Poas Volcano. The volcano was entirely clear at 10:30am. I read a few reviewed bemoaning the timing being what caused cloudiness at the peak; however, I can speak to our 10:30-11:00am visit being entirely clear and picture perfect. We arrived just as the fog / cloud / mist lifted. The trip to the La Paz Waterfalls garden was interesting. We ate quickly at lunch and explored the sites on our own which we thoroughly enjoyed. I do not believe an hour is needed for lunch. However, there were guests on the tour that did use that time. I am glad we checked out spots that were not part of the tour. Do leave the waterfalls until the end with the group. Once you're at the bottom, the tour in LaPaz is finished so no need to rush ahead with those! I do recommend this tour and believe it is a great value for the different things you experience.

Good tour but can be better

So overall it’s a good trip however there are things I didn’t enjoy 1. Our group included 20 people. We only had one guide who was doing the tour both in English and Spanish. 2. We spent close to 3 hours in the Waterfall garden however we were given only 25 minutes to see all the four waterfalls which I feel were the main attraction

Stunning all-around

Every part of the tour was well done. We learned a lot of information on the coffee tour, the volcano didn’t disappoint despite the clouds (there was a brief respite) and waterfalls were stunning. the wildlife sanctuary was a bonus. We didn’t expect as much as it had to offer. The only ding was that Viator listed the wrong time for pickup (6am vs 7am).

The volcano and waterfalls were amazing and so glad I got to experience that. However, the coffee experience was very boring and felt like a school field trip. I would suggest coffee tasting and showing the whole process of how coffee is made. But the volcano and waterfall made it worth it. We were very fortunate to get to see the volcano through the clouds but keep in mind a lot of the time people don't get to see it due to the thick clouds/fog.

Great experience seeing the Poas volcano up close, the La Paz gardens/waterfalls. Very interesting to see how coffee is being made at the coffee plantation with knowledgeable information given by our tour guide who made our tour a pleasurable experience. The food was delicious. A great tour for a great value.

Great day trip! Donald is an excelente guide! The coffee estate is beautiful and exciting. At the vulcano we get lucky and the clouds cleared out so we get to see the crater. The gardens and the waterfalls are breathtaking. Thank you for the day!

A really great day trip, especially if you have limited time to spend in San Jose. Martin was a great tour guide. We got an unfortunate puncture but support was not long arriving. Wonderful sights and sounds. Pack for rainy weather for the afternoon

Perfect comfortable day trip from San Jose if you are only there for a short trip. Comfortable van as a ride with Yunan as a great safe driver, Jose is knowledgeable and could answer any questions. Thank you both, had a good time!

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide Aidan was so knowledgeable and friendly - he ensured he spoke to everyone and was so smiley and happy. We gained a great insight into the production of coffee and got to try a variety of different types. The paos volcano was stunning and we were so lucky that the weather was perfect and sunny so we could see everything so clearly. The gardens were spectacular and out of this world. I would highly recommend this trip and asking for Aidan as your guide.

A very loooong day (6amish-6pmish!)

Unfortunately, my main goal in booking this day trip was to see the volcano's crater, but it was completely clouded over (i.e., we saw nothing!). I've read previously that this oftentimes happens if you go too late in the morning, and because of this tour's schedule, we only got to it past 10am... This day wasn't totally a waste of time though, since I enjoyed visiting the animal rescue centre at LaPaz waterfalls and hiking to see the waterfalls. The breakfast/lunch were also very good, as was the tour guide (he was very knowledgeable!). Unfortunately, it takes an hour or so from the waterfalls back into San Jose (4pmish dpt), and then another hour or so to drop off everyone at their hotel (so this makes for a very looooong day!).

What a wonderful trip! My mom and I had the best time and thought this tour was a nice mix of seeing a lot of things but not feeling too rushed. Our guide Adrian was wonderful- fun, funny, and full of information. The coffee plantation was interesting even though we aren’t coffee drinkers. The real highlight of this trip was, of course, Poás, which we were lucky enough to get to see in pretty clear conditions. Finally, the La Paz waterfall gardens was super fun! We had time to see all of the rescued animals at the sanctuary, eat lunch, and see all of the waterfalls. It was an exhausting day but 100% worth it, especially if you don’t have a ton of time in Costa Rica and want to pack as much as possible into one day.
