We booked this tour through Viator but the actual tour company was Roatan Anderson. It was easy to locate the tour just outside the immediate cruise port area in Roatan. Our guide, Hayman, was there waiting for us and we were soon on our way. There were two of us and were in a Toyota minivan. Hayman was great. He was a local and knew the island very well. Our stop with the monkey/sloths was first and quite interesting. We were able to hold the monkeys , or rather have them climb all over us, and the sloths which was quite unique. The glass bottom boat ride was good. Although the water was somewhat murky due to high winds, the view of the coral reef was pretty good and we saw a good number of fish and sea turtles. Another stop was a chocolate factory, which was very small but interesting and had good samples. Hayman was quite willing to take to other sites if we were interested., but we had to get back to the ship. We can definitely recommend this tour and especially Hayman.
We were fortunate to have Jaime as our guide. He offered us more than we expected. Not only did he get us to our programmed destinations, he catered a few stops along the way to make sure our trip hit all the highlights we had hoped for. We felt very safe and his great humor made the trip so memorable!! If you get the chance, be sure to ask for Jaime as your guide.
Thank you guys for your feedback it’s very important to us thank you again for choosing us to show you around our lovely home island hope we can have you guys back with again in the near future thank you again
We were delighted to spend the day with Jamie from Anderson Tours. Not only did we receive all that was promised on this tour, but Jamie made sure we had a day we would remember. We were his only guests that day and traveled comfortably in his AC vehicle. Hightlights include the newly opened Butterfly garden, holding a sloth, watching a monkey unzipped my husbands backpack, viewing the bay from the highest point on the island, viewing the coral reef underwater, tasting local rum and chocolate and, at our request, having lunch with the locals. We never felt rushed or hurried. Jamie shared stories about growing up on the island and what the culture is like now. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking to share your day with these warm and friendly people.
Our driver picked us up at the main port on time. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Took us around the island , to the submarine ride and to the sloth sanctuary. Overall the tour gives a good experience and sense of the island in general. I would recommend for a nice half day at Roatan.
