We booked last minute unsure of how long of a two day trip to spend on a guided tour. It turns out this was a ‘free tour’ which I have absolutely loved from previous visits to cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague and Copenhagen. Guna introduced herself and noted that since we had paid online to ignore the “tips” section at the end. Sounds minor but I really appreciated this as I hate tipping (not the concept it just makes me feel awkward!). Guna was very knowledgable and had some reference material with her that was useful as I like visual learning. She delivered the stories clearly being explicit about which was “fact” and which were “folklore”. I liked the jibes at the neighbouring counties. I think every country on the planet has this with their nearest countries and it was delivered honestly but jokingly. For a ~2 hour trip we found it really helped us orient ourselves and we ate at a few of the recommended restaurants and really enjoyed them for a fair price. Can’t hesitate that if you just arrived in old town this tour is a nice intro to the Riga history. It wasn’t a lot of walking but I wouldn’t really recommend it to someone who struggles to walk, but anyone of reasonable health will be fine. Thanks for a wonderful tour Guna!

The tour guide was knowledgeable, funny and welcoming. It was a 2-hour walking tour that took us to the main historical places in the Old Town. Recommendations were given so that we could continue enjoying the Latvian cultural experience.

in de beschrijving. De prijs van een privétour is totaal anders. De prijs die je hier betaalt is de gemiddelde prijs die mensen geven als donatie ook in het Free Tours concept. Ik ben blij dat je de tour zelf hebt gewaardeerd - wat goed! Dat is het zeker!
