A Must Do in Riga!!!
, Jul 2022
A walking tour of Riga is the only way to fully experience the beauty and history. Liga was an exceptional guide walking us by stunning Belle Epoque buildings then a surprise inside peak to see an amazing period staircase. We traveled on to Old Town to see the Hansa warehouses and Squares where she brought history to light. We would have missed so much without her expertise and enthusiasm. On to the Market area to experience the bustle of selling flowers, crafts, fish, meat, cheeses and bread. It was a full day and ever so satisfying to have both history and architecture laid out so beautifully!!
Such a lovely tour with an amazing tour guide!

I really loved this walking tour of Riga. Liga made it very interesting and learned so much about Riga's history and culture. The highlight for me was the Art Nouveau area and her explanations of the architecture. Also loved the Central Market and trying all different foods. All in all, I would have loved to spend more time with Liga hearing about Riga :-)
A great experience

Edite is a great tour guide, who communicates in English with ease. She is truly passionate about Riga, as well as Latvian culture and history. The tour is quite long (around 4 hours), but well planned and clearly divided into three parts - the Old Town, the Art Noveau Quarter and the Central Market. Edite also shares her recommendations about restaurants and places to visit outside of Riga. We had great fun!
Very interesting

Liga met us at our Hotel and guided our small party of four. She was extremely informative and very pleasant. The tour encompassed the whole town including the Art Nouveau area, the old town , and finishing at the main market where she introduced us to some local food. A great introduction to a lovely city.

Our guide Liga was incredibly knowledgable and gave us a fantastic day in Riga. We learnt about history, art, culture and much more. We are well traveled and have high standards, and we were very happy that Liga was our guide. Time and money well invested. Ask for Liga - she was a great guide and spoke excellent English. // Three ladies from Sweden

An informative and extensive tour. Liga, our guide, was very knowledgeable and told us all about the different areas we visited (old town, art nouveau district, Freedom Monument, central market) and made excellent recommendations for foods to try. Highly recommended.

Very comprehensive tour, the best possible introduction to Riga. I chose the private tour, the guide picked me up from the hotel and showed me the main sights - for 3 hours filled with explanations.
Comprehensive and very enjoyable tour

We enjoyed a full morning tour with our guide Edīte who was friendly, knowledgable and sensitive to our needs and wishes. The small group (6 on tour) made it easy going and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this tour.

One of the best tours we have done. Harry, our guide, was waiting for us and took us on a great 4 hour walking tour of Riga. His knowledge was first class and he was a pleasure to be with. Finished the tour in the local market with a gastronomic tasting session of local foods. Highly recommend.
An interesting day in the rain!

Just as Liga our tour guide arrived at the meeting point the heavens opened and most of the tour was spent putting umbrellas up and down! Despite this the tour was so interesting the rain didn't spoil it. Liga was so knowledgeable about the Old Town of Riga. We particularly enjoyed the Art Nouveau district and she gave us so much information about these buildings. Back to the Old Town and a stop off for coffee was most welcome and then on to see not only the beautiful architecture but she pointed out good restaurants and things we wouldn't have noticed on our own. Final stop was to the Central Market which was amazing, so much to see here in the old zeppelin hangars. Well worth doing this trip as it set us up to then go on and explore more on our own. Credit to Liga, she certainly knows her town!
Thumbs Up to Both the Tour and Viator!
, Sep 2019
First use of Viator. Booked 2 tours, both very good, not just cheaper but also better and more intimate than our cruise shore excursions. This tour was the best! This was partly due to Riga with its wonderful Art Nouveau buildings and positive vibe but mostly because the tour itinerary, max 10 participants, and the tour guide. Our guide was made for her job - personable, very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and diligent. Did a marvelous job bringing Riga to life. We messed up on the meeting location and she made sure by cell phone that we connected with the group. Very well done!
Really Enjoyable
, Aug 2019
We did many walking tours on our Baltic Sea cruise destinations and this was one of our favorite. Our guide, Edite, was delightful. She was knowledgeable and understandable. It was a great tour.
Enthusiastic guide!

The guide introduced most of Riga's main attractions, leaving room for a more intimate introduction after the tour
