It could have been better

Beautiful little island, tour was fine, food was mediocre, nothing special. What I wasn't happy about was when we got to the main island, we felt like we were left behind alot the your guy wouldn't wait for you if you stopped to buy something or take pictures. On the way back from the waterfall, we stopped at the church for a few minutes, we came out and we were left alone. We did get lost. But found our way down to the beach. Make sure to wear your shoes, even though the tour guide advices not to, the rocks on the beach are rough. It was a pretty long tour, we didn't see much fish.

Great day on the water.

Overall, the trip was good, the crew were very friendly and efficient. The snorkeling at Majahuitas was disappointing to poor visibility. The swim from the boat to snorkeling location was too long. Other boats towed their snorkeling guests by tender to the snorkeling sites, probably a better idea. Yalapa was very cute and a great spot to stop. The waterfall was nice to see but a pity the traders are along the entire path up. A central market arrangement might be a better idea. A terrible pity that a bar/restaurant has been allowed to open right at the base of the falls.

Lots to do but short on time. Ocean is the number one factor! Typical calm in morning and afternoon gets choppy seas. No fun when the ocean gets rough. one hour to get to first stop 45min snorkeling time kayaking 45min Lunch Approx. 1/2 hour boat ride Go to shore for walking tour thru town and see waterfall Then have about 40min free time on the beach, eat - drink - relax Board boat and head back to marina. Not told in any marina trips is a Mexico Fed Tax NOT included on ticket price. Must be bought separate at the Marina. 28 pesos per person Also not mentioned on the tour is a charge for Snorkels. You can get one used and who knows if it was cleaned free or a new one for 100 pesos. Can bring your own equipment if you want The water was not that clear

Great trip for families! We loved the snorkeling and the hike up to the waterfall was easy enough. The service on the boat was excellent and the entire crew were attentive and helpful.

Best Tour I've Ever Taken
anncL9522SK

The 6 & 1/2 hour trip included a stop for snorkeling (great views of the fish), a walk through the little town of Yelapas (which can only be reached by boat), a short hike to the waterfall there, beach time, and plenty of food, drink and shenanigans on the boat. The crew of boat number 8 was led by Chai and included several others, but I mainly remember the names Omar and Luis, since their names were on their shirts. In addition to doing all the physical docking activities, helping us in and out of boats and monitoring the safety of 190 of us during a trip that exhausted most passengers, the crew also kept us well fed and entertained through out the boat rides. I wish I could remember the name of the guy who juggled on the deck of our boat while we were moving through choppy waters, because he was amazing. This was the best tour that I can remember ever taking. I could not stop smiling and laughing all day long.
