Amazing tour!

Nathan was an awesome tour guide! We loved the whole experience and definitely will do it again. The hike is not the easiest so be prepared and it’s extremely muddy. Bring good light shoes, it’s very slippery and you will wear them in the water

Adventurous! Fun! Safe! Must do hike

We had Eliu & Paul as our tour guides and just wow, they were so phenomenal. Eliu guided us and explained everything in the forest and throughout the hike. Paul helped us with the hike and motivated us throughout the swim/jump and slide. I would highly recommend hiking shoes as it gets very slippery especially if you want to do the cliff jump and natural waterfall slide. I wore swimming leggings so I don’t get bit by anything in the water and I’m so glad I did because my husband wore shorts and had 1-2 bites probably mosquito bites or water bug bites.I would take a small backpack with snacks that you can leave by the waterfall (it is safe there) we left our phones and snacks and it was fine. Hope this helps! Once again Elui and Paul were amazing and we had the time of our lives on this hike! Super fun! Thank you!

Really great excursion for the family

This was really a fun trip for the whole family. It ended up being quite muddy and slippery - let go and “embrace the mud”. Don’t wear nice clothes! The optional cliff jumping, water slide and rope swing were a ton of fun. Justice was a great guide although the biggest adrenaline rush may have been the van ride along tiny, twisty roads to get to the park trailhead (great driving Richard). I really liked some of the overview of PR as we travelled there and some of the history of the rain forest.

Amazing Experience!

I visited Puerto Rico back in September and had a great time on this tour! The ride from San Juan to El Yunque seemed to pass quickly as our guide taught us a lot about the wildlife, plant life, and history of Puerto Rico on the ride to the destination. I love that they provide convenient pickup locations, stop for bathroom and snack breaks on the commute, and stop to allow you to take pictures at scenic locations during the hike. The waters in the pool that we stopped to swim at were crystal clear and the guides allow you to go on the rock water slide, jump off cliffs into the water at various heights, and drink potable water from a little water fall on part of the hike. I was very excited to see all the plants I have at home in their natural environment, and overall we had an amazing time. Highly recommend!

Great scenery, lovely pool and waterfall, but could have been better with a more interesting guide. The only plants mentioned were bamboo (who doesn't know what the hell bamboo looks like?) and a particular palm tree. There was no other information provided about the rainforest or PR. In addition the lead guide, while personable, seemed more interested in poking fun at us than educating us about the environment or the country. I could care less really what he thinks as the comments were individually little jabs but on the whole fairly rude. Having come off an amazing trip to Icacos with fabulous guides that treated us warmly and did everything they could to make us feel welcome, this trip was a stark difference. If you've ever seen Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka - when he is both gracious and rolling his eyes - it was kind of like that. Hard to not be jealous of another small group there with us who seemed to have a guide treating them very well, painting their faces and discussing the Tainos. As for the hike it was muddy because it had rained quite a bit the day before but it was not particularly challenging for someone in modest shape. You will get your shoes dirty! Do not wear shoes you care about or go on this trip if you don't have shoes you don't care about. It is very possible to do this in Chacos or sneakers - or any other sturdy sandal like a Keen. Just don't wear flip-flops or fashion sandals and you'll be fine. I didn't walk up and do the water side but instead chose to hang out in the mountain pool - which was fantastically cool water. I heard the climb up to the water slide was challenging but doable. Lots of smaller or larger ledges to jump off into the pool as well. Overall I would do something similar again. I would probably just prefer a hike/swim and I wouldn't go to this location or with this company. Also note some companies required helmets and life vests - and seemed to have equipment sized appropriately for all guests. This is not that company. The helmets stayed in the van and the life vest were half-heartedly handed out - none of them fit my 13-year-old. Luckily he knows how to swim but he enjoys floating.

El Yunque Hiking Tour- Highly Recommended

My girlfriend and I were so excited to experience the El Yunque hiking trip and everything it had to offer. This guide did not disappoint. Justice and Richard were our guides. Both extremely nice and informative. Justice showed us the routes and how to navigate certain climbing areas, and Richard was there to ensure safety. The hiking and climbing were fun (it gets very muddy, we wore hiking shoes which were perfect for us). By far the water slide, cliff jump, and rope swing were the highlights. Exhilarating and fun. Guides are there to ensure safety and everyone has a good time. Would definitely recommend this experience.

We had the best in this tour! Tristan and Enrique were the best! Really made sure we could navigate the route and also agreed to be our personal photographers. The tour itself was so much fun! We hiked for around 25 minutes to the spot and then another 15 minutes to the slide which included some slight rock climbing. The trail was VERY muddy. Do not wear shoes you are not ready to get muddy. Also wear shoes that have a good grip as the mud makes the trail slippery. We got to do a natural water slide, cliff jumping, and a rope swing! I do wish we had more time to do these things as we only had time to do each once :(. Also invest in a waterproof phone case and water shoes/shoes you are willing to get fully submerged. We didn’t bring a waterproof case and we didn’t get any pictures from the cliff jump or water slide. Overall it was a great time and I recommend.

Had a great time on this adventure filled trip. Short fun hike + sliding down water + cliff jumping. I would recommend getting a waterproof phone case since that is the only way to bring your phone to take any photos on the adventure part.

We had an AMAZING experience! Nathan and the driver were awesome and extremely helpful! They were really nice and really encouraging when going through with certain parts of the excursion. I and my partner loves the whole trip. It was one of the highlights of our vacation to Puerto Rico. I recommend this trip for anyone who wants to see the island and its beauty.

My boyfriend, his family, and I decided to do this excursion for my birthday. At first, we didn’t really have any idea what we were getting ourselves into. We assumed we would be hiking through a more established trail to see some waterfalls. Well, it was a little more intense than that. The hiked included steep terrain, slippery rocks and mud, and powerful streams. This hike is definitely meant for someone in good physical shape, who isn’t scared about getting down and dirty. That being said, this was one of the most amazing experiences of my lifetime. Our tour guides (Tristan and another man) were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They made sure everyone was safe and comfortable throughout the entirety of the trip. If you enjoy the outdoors and have the chance to participate in this excursion, I definitely think you should do it!

Enrique and Ellu were great guides. Super personable and welcoming, made everyone feel comfortable. Also very convenient pickup outside our B&B in Condado. My phone actually slipped out in the water off one of the cliffs and Ellu found it. Very caring guides that spread their Puerto Rican pride.

Amazing adventure wot amazing guides. Hiking, natural water slide, cliff diving!! Our guide (Justice) is awesome in every way. This is a great activity but has a significant amount of rock climbing and narrow trails so it’s not for the faint of heart at times.
