Start your day with an optional pickup from hotels in San Juan, or make your own way to the marina in Fajardo. As your catamaran pulls up anchor and heads into the cerulean seas, check out great views of the coastline’s beaches, plus scenic vistas of nearby El Yunque National Forest. Don’t forget to enjoy a piña colada, rum punch, soda or juice from the bar on the way.

Your catamaran arrives at Icacos Cay, part of a chain of 10 small islands that comprise La Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. If weather conditions require, your captain may navigate instead to the equally stunning island of Palominitos. Then hop in the water for some aquatic activities, including snorkeling on the nearby reef, swimming or beachcombing on the shore of this placid paradise.

When you start to get hungry around midday, head back to the boat for a buffet spread. Build a sandwich from the included array of fresh-baked bread (pan de agua), sliced meats including turkey, ham, pastrami and salami, sliced cheeses, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Make sure to also grab some sides, including gourmet pasta salad, chicken salad, coleslaw, bean dip, chips, cookies, and fresh fruit.

Following lunch, your catamaran heads to another reef for more snorkeling or sunbathing. While underwater, keep your eyes peeled for reef creatures including colorful fish and the occasional octopus or manta ray. Or stay dry on the deck, where you can gaze at the sea life through glass windows or shoot down the boat’s built-in waterslide.

Your relaxing sailing day finishes with a return cruise back to the harbor, where you can find your optional hotel transportation back to San Juan.

Best deserter trip I’ve had this far
, Jun 2021
Loved the whole trip and the crew with Ari and Booby them was the they was great telling us about all the details the chicken wraps were good and so were the drinks!
, Jun 2021
The crew was amazing, the islands were stunning. The overall experience was a 10. I will say I don’t recommend it if you are traveling with little kids. This is definitely a party boat. Drinks were flowing , so if adult partying is what your looking for this is definitely it.

Nice, but wouldn't do again
, May 2021
The actual boat experience was excellent! 10/10 for the boat experience. Looking for the parking lot was confusing, everyone who we got advice from said it was about 30 seconds after the main entrance- it wasn't. There was a huge sign across the street from the parking lot which would've been a good marker to advise to look out for. The shuttle took us to where we would check in & told us we would be picked up at the bottom of the stairs. When we got back, we waited for 30 mins & no sign of the shuttle. I called & they told me to go down the stairs to where the check in was & that's where we would get picked up. It was actually on the opposite side of where the check in was, no where near the check in. Poor instructions & directions made it a poor experience. I've done other boat tours in PR & although this one was nice & the boat was big, I wouldn't do it again just because of all the confusion & poor communication with the company.

Fun catamaran ride!
, May 2021
Had a great time with East Island Excursions. The staff was truly incredible - serving us endless drinks, snacks, and constantly checking in on you if we needed anything. Lunch was tasty - chicken sandwiches with pasta salad and bean salad. Staff was extremely careful with mask and COVID protocols although once people started snorkeling, it’s virtually impossible to keep masks on and social distance which I was fine with as I’m fully vaccinated. As an avid snorkeler and diver, I must say the snorkeling spots were a little underwhelming but nothing that they can control, most of reef has died due to climate change sadly. Loved jumping off the boat and the water slide. FYI - This is more of a booze cruise with a bit of snorkeling mixed in. Most of passengers are looking to get turned up, and they play music from the moment you leave the port until you return to the dock, the end of the trip is a full on dance party. My husband and I thought it would be a little more chill of an experience. Music was good though and you are in PR so can’t complain! Would definitely recommend!
