From Porto: Aveiro, Paiva Walkways + Arouca 516 Footbridge

This was a full day of adventure, lots of walking, the best meal I’ve had yet in Portugal, and seeing interesting sites. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. The swinging bridge was not as scary as I had feared and the walk along the River on the wooden pathway beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!

From start to finish this tour was first class. Norberto is well organised, has a vast knowledge of Portugal and indeed the world, which makes for a very interesting day in itself. Also we had a mixture of nationalities for conversation - USA, UK, Israel & Portugal which highlights everything i have missed re travel, sharing views and experiences. The content of the tour its self is also first class, we love hiking and this is as good as it gets. The staff on the Bridge were extremely helpful as i am not keen on heights but they made every effort to enable me to enjoy the experience. The lunch in the mountain village was the best food from our whole 5 day break & the boat ride/ fishing village are nice add ons. All in all a great day - loved it. Tim (& Jenny)

One of the things we were looking forward to the most prior to our trip to Portugal was visiting the Passadiços Do Paiva. Using Ennetours with Norberto as our driver and guide made for an amazing day that we will not forget. Norberto picked us up from our hotel in Porto right on time and we drove to the Passadiços Do Paiva – we were able to take a “shortcut” that allowed us to start closer to the entrance. We chose not to walk across the Arouca 516 bridge, but it was very impressive to see the bridge in person. The Passadiços Do Paiva did not disappoint and were one of the highlights of our trip – the experience and natural scenery all along the walkways are worth it. Norberto then drove us to a delicious group lunch including veal and wine at a local restaurant in Arouca which was perfect after the long walk! While the weather during the first half of our tour was perfect, it did start raining when we got to Aveiro. It was still an enjoyable visit and we got to see the canals on a Moliceiro boat and tried the Ovos Moles (sweet eggs). We ended the day at the “Instagram” town of Costa Nova where it stopped raining and we got some great pictures of the striped houses before we were driven back to Porto. Thank you to Ennetours and Norberto for a truly memorable day. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to take a day excursion out of Porto and experience a different part of Portugal!

I am 73 years old and found this tour slightly challenging but a rewarding experience. Norberto is a true professional in every way. He communicates well with his clients to inform them in advance of pickup times, how to identify his van, reminders of dos and donts, and what to expect of the day’s itinerary. He is well traveled therefore sensitive to his clients’ comfort and well versed in Portugal’s history and culture. This was a day well spent with a superior guide. It looks scary but not that much as long as you don't look down. Look forward and look around because you really have a beautiful scenery. I was very tired after the 8 km hike but it's worth it!

We had a wonderful day with so much variety. Norberto has curated a true gem of a tour with so many layers from nature, culture and delicious food. Be ready for a good sweat, but the views and food at lunch will not disappoint. Just do it!

Amazing day! Norberto was friendly, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable, teaching us Portuguese history throughout the day. He provided us options on the walkway and met us with the car at the halfway mark for those who were tired. He also provides extra treats and surprises throughout the day. I highly recommend!
