Best Tour Ever!
, Feb 2020
This was our best trip in Porto! The tour guide Esa (spelling sorry) was fantastic! She was so personable & friendly. It was just a joy to spend the day with her. She had so much knowledge about the history of Porto, Braga, Guimarães & Portugal in general. She spaced out the timing of walking & stopping to sightsee just right. The lunch that was part of the tour was absolutely wonderful & she made great effort to ensure I had a vegan option. I was so impressed & would recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks for everything.

Glad we chose Cooltours Oporto because the arrangement from online booking to hotel pick up was seamless. We had a private tour with Luís as our Guide whom made our tour an enjoyable one. He’s really professional and was able to share the history of Portugal very well! We loved the restaurante Mumadona in Guimaraes which served authentic Portuguese food (restaurant was full with local patrons!). The time was well planned to visit the places of interest, we enjoyed chatting with Luís and appreciate his safe driving throughout. Highly recommended to book this tour! Cheers from Singapore, Sharon & Gordon.

Our tour guide Sergio is super good. He is very knowledgeable and provided the detailed information non stop, before and during the tour. We learned a lot from him from this tour. My family really enjoyed the tour. The lunch is delicious Portuguese three course food with wine. Very taste. The company cooltour Oporto send confirmation before the tour and told us what time we would be picked up. This is a seamless operation and I highly recommended this tour.
Fantastic Tour

We had a relatively young tour guide, Bruno, who had recently graduated from Tourism school. He was full of knowledge and enthusiasm and eager to deliver all the finer points of the area. It was fast paced but not rushed. The area was beautiful as were the sights. Lunch at the Diana restaurant was delicious. We could not have asked for a better day spent in Portugal. Thank you Bruno and Cooltours, well done!!
good tour, guide is perfect

My husband and I took this Guimaraes and Braga small group took and our tour guide Bruno was amazing. He is a very knowledgeable, very personable and very caring individual. He took his time to explain and tell us the history of all the sites and places we visited. He also took us to a local restaurant for lunch. The food was very tasty. We had a group of 5 people and we all sat together with our guide to eat. It had a family atmosphere. It was very relaxing and and enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this tour and make sure you ask for Bruno from cool tour to be your guide. My husband and I would like to thank Bruno for a wonderful and an awesome day.
I don't think it was worth it going to Guimaraes but Braga was ok.

We didn't have enough time in Guimaraes or Braga to see the cities. I would've liked more time at least in Braga to see the city. This tour was very fast in both cities.

Violet was great!
, Oct 2019
We had a lovely day visiting these 2 areas. Violet was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of these 2 areas and Porto.
lots of churches!
, Oct 2019
Our tour guide's name was Violeta. There were 6 of us in this group. Violeta was both the tour guide and driver. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. She was also very aware of the weather and modified our itinerary so that we would have the best experience possible. Our first stop was to Braga where we toured the 1st cathedral of Portugal. We then walked around town then had an early lunch. Food was good, I would recommend the seafood option. As the weather cleared, we headed to Bom Jesus Sanctuary. We toured the ground and enjoyed the beautiful views. Definitely walk down the stairs and enjoy. After, we headed to the Guimaraes where our 1st stop was to Castelo de Guimaraes. After Violeta did her spiel, we walked around and took pictures. There is an exhibit inside the tower but you cannot climb all the way to the top. We then went to the Paço dos Duques de Bragança where Violeta toured us around the exhibit (FYI the items inside are NOT the original items from back in the day). For our last stop, Violeta took us to Largo da Oliveira where we visited the church and took pictures in the square. Overall, we had a great time. My only suggestion would be to have a microphone in the van because it was a little hard to hear everything Violeta had to say while she was driving.
