Jesus was a horrible guide took our money

We were picked up at our hotel at 6:00 a.m., at 8:00 a.m. our tour guide joined us and told us Coba had been closed due to the virus. (not his fault I realize) We were upset that we weren't notified by text. They emailed us the night before but, I received a contradictory text saying we were going. The tour guide Luis was very rude to us right away . We left our hotel early at 6 expecting to be at Chichenitza early at least by 8, or 9. We finally got there at noon it was very hot by then. I pre-paid for my ticket online and told them where my hotel was. They charged me the extra $15 per person online. The tour guide demanded I pay him an extra $30 because of my pickup area. (I had already paid this online) We didn't want to argue so we paid him and did not receive a receipt. He didn't give us any information the whole way there nor on the way back. We were not refunded for our Coba admission that we paid for. After the Ik Kil Cenote they drove us 45 minutes away to Valladolid and we stayed 30 minutes. He said he would give us back the $30 for the pick up area since I had proof I already paid but before we were dropped off at our hotel our tour guide jumped off and left with our money. We did not get back to our hotel until 8:30 p.m. it was a 14 and a half hour day most of which was spent driving and dropping people off. I did two tours with this company. One tour was great the other was awful. I gave our other tour guide a $100 tip because he was so nice. We drove for fours straight and the driver never stopped for us to use the restroom on the way home. The tour guide could have made us happy by giving us information about that we were seeing and being nice, but he decided not to work that day, he just dropped us off and told us where to meet. Jesus could take some pointers from Luis who is an excellent tour guide. The breakfast was a child's juice box, a banana, and a package of cookies. This was a rip off, they didn't reimburse the admission to Coba that we paid for.

Martin was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable. It was a long day of driving but well worth it for the destinations. Coba and Chichen Itza were amazing. Ik Kil was impressive as well.

Great Chicken Itza tour

Martin and Joel were great tour guides! Martin had an abundance of knowledge about Mayan culture and history. He knew his stuff! Joel was weaving through traffic like it was nobody’s business. He was a great driver. Highly recommend this tour for people who are looking for a small to mid sized Chicken Itza tour.

Worth every dime. Highly recommend this cultural 1 day trip. Easy pickup/drop off from your hotel. Light breakfast snack, and a delicious lunch included at the Ik Kil Cenote. Jesus our guide, spoke english and gave us thorough history of Mayan/Aztec culture. Very safe. Please bring sandals, bug spray, change of clothes. Also bring cash as you can pickup some cheap souvenirs at Chichen Itza.

Best tour ever!

This was a marvelous excursion. Martín Pech was a wonderful man who knew so much about the Mayan history and the ruins. He kept us entertained the whole time with his humor and knowledge and good spirits. Joel Estrada was a great driver and kept us safe and on time. Pick-up was early, time was managed very well, and we enjoyed the whole day. Even the buffet lunch was delicious. They supplied us with water the whole day so we didn’t have to worry about buying any. I would highly recommend this tour and would do it again someday. My only tip would be to wear very loose fitting long-sleeve clothing, bring natural bug spray and natural sunscreen, and lots of small cash to tip your guides and waiters and drivers and also purchase some amazing souvenirs.

This excursion was awesome. We spent the appropriate time at each excursion and learned a lot from our guide. Chichen Itza, Ik Kil and Coba ruins are all beautiful. I was happy that we went super early to Chichen Itza so we could get great pictures before the crowds showed up. Our guide Poncho was very informative and entertaining. His coffee was delicious too. Overall can't recommend this excursion enough.

Awesome Tour

Our main guide was Pancho. He was very informative and seemed to have a passion for the Mayan culture. From pick up to drop off at the hotel, the tour lasted about 12 hours. However, I have no regrets about scheduling this tour. We saw Chichen Itza early in the morning, which I highly recommend. Then went to lunch and swam in the cenote, which was very cold but worth the experience (bring a change of clothes). We finished the day at Coba and climbed to the top. We loved this tour.

Poor. Late for pick-up. Guide was reportedly sick ie. hungover. Guide was lethargic, gave us moderate information about the ruins and its history which was minimal in comparison to the other Guides we could here around us, and was rather aloof. The ruins and cenote were amazing, however. Get a better guide.

The trip was off to a good start, we were picked up on time. A breakfast was provided for us to eat on the air conditioned mini bus. We got to Chichen Itza early, and missed the crowds. The guide was excellent and never left our side, explaining much more that I thought he would. Its a shame I cannot remember his name, because his was so good Then on to Cenote Ik Kil for a lunch and a swim vgood then on to Coba, this was a day out in its self, amazing, again the guide was excellent
