This activity will end right where it started.
Your UTV tour starts from Rock Springs, a community located in Black Canyon City just north of Phoenix. Check in with your guide for a safety briefing and training then slip on your helmet, goggles, and gloves before setting off for the Bradshaw Mountains of the Sonoran Desert.

The ride aboard a Teryx utility vehicle offers scenic views of the Agua Fria River Valley and includes plenty of stops to learn about the area from your guide. Ride off-road over rugged washes and cross creeks.

Travel past saguaro cacti and deep canyons carved by flash floods in the vast desert terrain. Hear anecdotes about the Native Americans who once farmed the unforgiving landscape; search for coyotes, bobcats, deer, rabbits, quail, and snakes.

  • Must be 16 years old or older to drive with a valid ID
  • Must be at least 4-years-old to ride as a passenger
  • A signed waiver will be required in order to participate
  • All minors must be accompanied by a parent
  • Must be at least 18 years old to rent with a valid ID and major credit card
  • All guests must speak and understand English

This was so much fun. Our tour guide Tyler was great. He was knowledgeable and helpful! If I’m ever back here I would definitely do it again! Glad we picked the UTV and not the ATV because of the heat. They also sprayed us with a hose to cool us down!

This was so fun! I went with my 2 teenagers on the guided ATV tour. Our guide, Kennedy, was the absolute best. He was knowledgeable of the landscape and wildlife and took the time to teach us all about it when we stopped halfway through. The ride was plenty long and the check in process was great. All of the staff were helpful and kind. Also, it wasn’t hot at all even in July. They provided water and with the shade and breeze on the ride we weren’t hot at all.

Bryan was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable when given an opportunity to talk about area, cactus and wildlife on breaks. Riding in UTV was fun and enjoyed scenery but you do need a driver. It does get a little dusty, glad we had masks.

Rich was such a personable, knowledgeable and kind guide for our UTV Desert tour. We learned so much about the flora and fauna of the desert and heard some great stories from Rich’s experiences too! We went first thing in the morning at 6AM and had a private tour and we highly recommend this as it started to heat up by the time we got back at 8. Super fun & so worth it!

While I rated the excursion highly, I am not happy about the handling of our reservation. My reservation was for 10 am on Sunday May 15th for a guided tour. When we got there, the person at the location told us that they did not have us listed at 10 am but at 11 am. I showed the person my email & app reservation and he said that he is not sure why it would say 10 am when they start the guided tour at 11 am. The only option was for us to do it alone. With that option, we missed out on the added benefits that the guided tour offered such as stops centered around the tour guide providing information as well as information on the terrain important to our safety. I feel that overall, that I did not get what I thought I paid for. The employee at the location said that the price would be the same for a guided or unguided tour. How could that be? They said that they would pass along the information to the owner of the excursion but to date, I have not heard back from anyone. Any help you can provide would be helpful. Thanks.
