Highlight of our weekend in Philadelphia. Jackie's knowledge was impeccable. The flavors of Philadelphia's Italian heritage that she guided us through were amazing! We will repeat this anytime we return. The food and conversation were irreplaceable. Cucini Maria restaurant, OMG!

Chef Jacquie helped me make my wife’s birthday special by leading us on a walking and tasting tour of the iconic Italian Market in South Philly. It was a group tour, but it became a private tour since we were the only ones who signed up for the weekday tour. We sampled cheeses and other goodies from two cheese shops; pastries, candy, tea and espresso at a coffee shop, and enjoyed a leisurely dinner of salad, crusty Italian bread, melt-in-your mouth gnocchi, and tasty meatballs at Cucina Maria (plus our BYO wine). Throughout the walking and the eating, Jacquie educated us about the history of the Italian Market from the first immigrants to today. She was the perfect host and guide, and we’ll probably take another tour she offers of a nearby neighborhood. She also inspired us to attend the Market’s annual festival in the third weekend of May. My husband, son, son's girlfriend and I took this tour this past Sunday and absolutely loved it! Jacquie was very knowledgeable about the area as well as the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and the food was amazing (I will never use regular American balsamic vinegar ever again!). I highly recommend this tour!
