Interesting walk

Our guide was real nice and kneep a lot of Philly’s history. She showed is all the historical placed. Unfortunately we watchers the Liberty Bell only through the window and didn’t enter the building to see it nearby. It was planned to visit a small art museum but it was closed. We wakked by the Betsy Ross house which appears to be quite interesting but we didn’t enter it either same as Christ Church which was closed too. So it was a real nice walk but it was sorry so many things were closed and that we didn’t have time visit the Bell.

Our tour guide Josh was amazing! He was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and connected well to our group. He took questions, memorized everyone's name in the group using cool, and made slight deviations from his script to accommodate us. We watched a short video indoors called the White Tent. Then, Josh went above and beyond to fulfill a last minute request to show us the Liberty Bell, which was not part of the outdoor walking tour experience. He shared great insights about George Washington during the Revolutionary War and Bejamin Franklin's major contributions to American History. Our group, which were participants in the TRiO Veterans Upward Bound program at Prince George's Community College in Largo, Maryland toured on May 21, 2022, which had a record high temperature of 90 degrees, not an ideal day to do a walking tour, but we stayed the course and remained as hydrated as possible. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and drinking lots of water! Masks were optional at the time, but bring them just in case.

Great tour with Adam! Adam has his Masters in American History and is very knowledgeable. This is an extended tour covering a lot of ground. A highlight was a visit to the American Revolution museum where Washington’s original war tent is on display. A sobering symbol of leadership. We also covered Independence Hall, Congress, Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin museum and gravesite, and Betsy Ross house among other sites. Adam created context and provided information not found in the average history book. Thanks for the great tour! Adam also had a new trainee with him, Anthony, whose energy and passion for history and engaging people was contagious. We wish Anthony well with his new endeavor!

Tour guide makes the experience: shares so many insights that you would miss if you were trying to do it all yourself. Fascinating history brought to life. A couple of stops less interesting, but overall highly recommend

We found it all very interesting. The guide was excellent and very informative without being boring. His pace was good and the tour wasn't very taxing for a walking tour. I thought it was a bus tour. (My mistake) but found the walking tour to be better with more information than a bus tour.

A great dive into Philadelphia's history

I had a great time walking around Philly with our tour guide Laura, who not only brought all the historical sites to life with an ongoing narrative, but also gave us a window into the city's more recent history and development, and was super responsive to my incessant questions. One of my favorite parts was a stop at the Jewish Arts Center - really inspiring to see local artists and Philly traditions, and a bit off of the beaten trail. She made a 2.5-hour jaunt breeze by! Highly recommend if you're looking to get a more holistic understanding of Philadelphia and American history.

Knowledgeable guide with a passion for American History. If you want to see the front of the Liberty Bell you will need to do this on your own time. It is not included in the tour. Our tour guide gave a very well rounded presentation of our history including many viewpoints.
