At the end of the bike tour, you'll be able to visit the Palace of Versailles for as long as you want! The guide will give you train tickets and a map of Versailles town for the 15-minute walk back to the train station. The trains from Versailles to Paris run every 20 to 30 minutes.

We had a great day at Versailles with our family (10 ppl, 74 yrs to 13 yrs in age range). Versailles is a long day no matter what, so be prepared. There was also an unexpected train strike to “derail” our departure, but our super tour guide Mappi was quick with a plan B and routed us all cheerfully to the metro and different train. We loved getting our lunches in the market in the town of Versailles before the biking began. The biking took us through the paths and to views of the palace. We stopped occasionally for history chats with Mappi. She was funny and entertaining and was fantastic at checking in with each group among the tour. We picnicked on the lawn and it was delicious. We rode on to the grand Trianon and Petit Trianon and to the the Hamlet. It was a highlight of our trip. After returning bikes, we walked to the palace and said farewell to our delightful guide. We then continued for the tour inside with optional audio guide. Tip: download the app of Palace of Versailles to your phone before you go. Same audio tour for free. Extra note… the bikes are comfortable! Overall, a wonderful day!

Our guide, "D" was phenomenal - he was very engaging, knowledgeable, funny, and accommodating. He provided printed slides to educate the group of 16 on the area around Versailles. The bike path was easy to navigate on the provided bikes. The picnic at the fountain was the most enjoyable time, and we picked up delicious foods from the charming market. We would highly recommend the tour to all.

We went on this tour on the hottest day of the year, temp over 100 degrees, and it was still a blast! Our guide Fred was funny and knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping us in the shade as much as he possibly could. He also had spray bottles and extra water to help us keep cool. It was so neat to get to see all the grounds and out buildings as well as the main palace. Was a definite highlight of our trip to France!

Amazing, amazing experience. Our guide was Fred who was incredible teaching us about the history of Versailles and all the scandals with the royals. We had a beautiful lunch near the fountains (just make sure you bring bug spray) with food we purchased at the best most beautiful outdoor market. And then ended the trip with a timed entry into the palace (after stops at some of the surrounding homes where Marie Antoinette spent her time). It truly was the best way to see Versailles. I have some amazing memories I will cherish forever. It is very physical so you don't need to be totally in shape to do this but if you are like me and never workout....you will be spent. Don't delay...book today and see if you can get Fred. Au Revoir!!

This tour was fantastic for our family of four. Cecelia was just the most wonderful guide—so friendly and entertaining. Getting to pick out picnic foods at the Versailles market was absolutely memorable—the picnic later was just delicious! The biking was easily managed if you are somewhat comfortable riding a bike. Absolutely a highlight of our stay in Paris.

If you love being outdoors and active highly recommend. Saw parts of area never ever would have experienced. We did have some rain but company supplied really good ponchos. Market tour was really nice loved it. We could not do picnic due to weather so lunch was super rushed at the cafe. Really enjoyed!

I've done a bunch of bike tours during trips to Europe and loved all of them equally. Great way to get around but the guide really does make a difference when bringing the history to life and creating the experience. Our guide was relatively new to this tour and unfortunately (although a LOVELY woman) didn't know the history very well and struggled to tell most of the stories. For 100 euro, we got a bike and a poncho and a guide to tell us what direction to go in. Very expensive for little knowledge. I would try another company or suss out the guides first.

This package is well worth the money. Guide was excellent, and had a lot of knowledge of Versailles history. We stopped and bought our own lunches at an outdoor market, and ate them on the palace grounds, picnic style. The bicycles are non-gear and ridiculously easy to ride. Some of the other people in our group were so gung ho that they brought helmets, but it just wasn't that kind of a bike trip.

Quite probably the best thing my wife and I’ve ever done in our life. The guide Arnold Schwarzenegger was fabulous cordial professional kind and helpful. The picnic on the grounds was some thing that everyone should experience as well as just riding a bicycle through the 10,000 acres. The palace was indescribable and magnificent. Anyone Yep books this tour especially if they get Arnold will have one of the greatest days of their life.

We had a perfect day on the Versailles bike tour. It was fun choosing items for our picnic, including wine, at the farmer’s market. The biking is easy on the flat terrain. We enjoyed the outdoors, learning about history, and the incredible palace and gardens. Vanessa with Blue Fox was a fun and knowledgeable guide. She took great care of us. Definitely a must do for active people.
