Nibble your way through Paris while soaking up the city’s famous holiday cheer. Bring your sweet tooth and meet your gourmet guide in St.-Germain des Prés, a delightful historic quarter formerly known for its artistic and intellectual café culture.

Visit a traditional European Christmas Market where you can wander festively decorated wooden stalls brimming with goodies. Warm your hands on a mug of vin chaud (hot-spiced wine), and indulge in holiday favorites such as Christmas cakes, gingerbread, and candied nuts.

Stop in at specialty stores to sample some of Parisians’ favorite seasonal treats, such as nut-studded nougat and chocolate-covered Yule logs. Along the way, your guide will share the French tradition of the 13 Desserts of Christmas, in which 13 different sweets enjoyed after a holiday meal represent Christ and the 12 apostles. Take part in this tasty tradition as you collect many of the symbolic desserts throughout your tour.

End your 3-hour tour at a cozy Parisian tea room, where you can continue savoring the treats you picked up and hear more about Christmastime traditions in France.

Stefani knew her area very well we were four people and it was delightful. It was a pleasure walking with her around, the highlight was at the end of the tour the fire in the small hotel, after the winter atmosphere we were warming up at the fireplace.

Fantastic tour, completely different to what I thought it would be, I was expecting to go around Christmas Markets and see Christmas decorations, food etc - the tour was teaching you about Christmas traditions through Europe and tasting of the food and the meaning behind that actual piece of food, eg a special Christmas chestnut sweet.

An excellent tour with a superb and knowledgeable guide. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring many areas and gourmet shops in Paris which we would never have discovered on our own. Being able to choose the food items and enjoying them with a hot beverage at the end of the tour is a lovely experience. Highly recommended!!

The tour guide was wonderful. She showed us some really awesome gourmet shops and the tastings were divine. My one and only problem with this tour was the "tea room” at the end. She took us to the Hotel Littre, clearly on the other side of the tour route/neighborhood. We definitely went out of our way just to go to this "tea room" only to have very sub-par, awful service. I hope the company stops using this establishment. Terrible end to an otherwise brilliant tour!

We had a wonderful afternoon with Alexandra. Fortunately we were the only participants so could ask as many questions as we needed answered. It was bitterly cold and raining, but the tour was so great we did not feel it. The venues were well researched, the tastes fantastic and the amount we learned was astonishing. Great to learn something new about how different culture celebrate Christmas with different foods and customs.

The tour guide was nice and really took us to elite places for chocolate shopping and gathering of the 13 desserts. He then took us to sit and eat the desserts with a coffee or tea and nice Christmas music. The title of this tour could be misleading maybe it should be something like " the 13 dessert

The Small-Group Gourmet Christmas...

The Small-Group Gourmet Christmas Tour of Paris exceeded any expectation that we might have had. Our tour guide, Roberto, was wonderful. (He even made dinner reservations for us for Christmas dinner and offered his phone number in case we had problems while we were in town.) The tour was a great way to see streets and shops that are off the beaten path in otherwise tourist-filled parts of town. The tour isn't really paced for people interested in heavy duty shopping at each stop, but that was just fine with us. The tour concluded with coffee or tea at a nice hotel with plenty of time to enjoy the delicious holiday treats we picked up along the way. I would recommend the tour to anyone planning on being in Paris for Christmas, especially since many places are closed for the holidays.

This was a wonderful, personalized tour lead by a true gentleman, who took incredible care in ensuring the tour was suitable for us and our son. This was a great opportunity to stroll the back streets of Paris to find hidden gems and collect the 13 deserts of Christmas that we then shared over tea at our final destination. Highly recommend this tour.
