Champagne Tasting on a Seine River Cruise

Dear guest, We are truly sorry you had a bad experience with our Champagne Cruise activity. That being said, we do not feel your remarks are quite fair. The description of the activity clearly states that the private room is at the front of the boat, and yes, this is a boat, so it is a private section, I am not too sure of what else you were expecting. Also, we never mention that this is a private tour for just your party of people. Considering the price of the activity, if only 2 guests were attending, it would be an exceptionally good deal! We do limit the number of people though, so that this activity is still fairly intimate, and provides a good interaction with the sommelier present. As for the content, again, we promote a fun tour « combining sightseeing and wine tasting », so yes, there are explanations about the monument as well as the Champagne tasting. Most people that participate find it to be a good combination judging by the reviews they leave afterwards, but I am afraid you were expecting something else - something we do not have, and don’t pretend to. We do organize more formal tastings at our venue in the centre of Paris, with tables and chairs and no sightseeing. And at last, us O Chateau are a company dedicated to wine tasting, we do not own the boat, as this is clearly a partnership between our company and les Vedettes de Paris. We are not whatsoever responsible for the boat staff, and are very sorry if they were rude to you, but are not liable for it. Again, we are always sorry to hear that people did not enjoy one of our tours because this is always our priority. But we feel like, maybe, you did not read carefully what this tour was about prior to booking, and feel disappointed afterwards, which we can understand. But leaving such a hateful comment does not feel very fair to us.
