The day of sightseeing begins with breakfast in Orlando. Meet the guide and the rest of the tour group on a pickup from select locations. Then, head to Crystal River, the gem of Florida's beautiful coast and home to one of the world's largest populations of endangered West Indian manatees.

Out on the water with the provided equipment, take an optional swim or snorkel. Spend time hanging out in the manatee’s natural habitat alongside certified dive masters. Learn more about this harmless mammal and why it’s under threat due to a loss of habitat.

After the cruise, enjoy a picnic-style lunch overlooking the manatee sanctuary at the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge.

The adventure continues in the afternoon with an airboat tour along the Withlacoochee River. Keep an eye out for manatees, dolphins, and a variety of other wildlife. Finally, visit Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, one of the best places in the state to view manatees. Witness an entertaining and educational feeding session with a park ranger, then look for bears, panthers, alligators, or even a hippo while exploring the rest of the park.

The tour ends with a return trip to Orlando and hotel drop-off.

My family had a blast. Our Captain was very knowledgeable about Manatees and was able to answer all of our questions, even about Manatee Poo! Our Guide was amazing with the kids. She made sure they got the best experience with the Manatees while being safe and respecting the gentle giants! I highly recommend this for people of all ages!

This tour deserves more than 5 stars! It doesn’t disappoint! The tour guide and bus driver were professional and thorough. The staff at the manatee excursion were great too! My boat saw manatees in the spring which is apparently rare for the summer. The state park was ok, nothing to write home about. And at wild bills the air boat operator was especially into doing “ tricks” with the boat. I would have preferred more animal sightings. But it was still great!!

Beginning with the pick up point options, I was happy to be able to park in a visible public place while on my tour. Our driver and guide Linda and Ignacio were prompt, courteous and very informative. They gave every bit of their attention to both the safety and care of our diversely different aged group. Linda was a true master at the wheel of our bus and especially proficient in rush hour traffic. I wish I could be guaranteed to have the same quality and expertise in all of our tours. (Rather, I look forward to!) Ignacio is well versed in the education of his student tourists. He was an exceptional tour guide making every effort to explain, in detail, the intricacies of the terrain, the cultures and the changes in the local as well as state wide environments and communities. Now to the nitty gritty! After repeated reminders for timely departures for everyone to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience, the tour ran like clockwork. First with the transition to our Boat captain and crew at Manatee Tour and Dive, who made it easy to understand and perform the activities of swimming with the manatees. We did not know what to expect this late in the season. There were not hundreds of Manatees and I'm thankful for that. We saw plenty! Bulls, cows with calves. We swam alongside both and even with just one animal, a group of 10 to 13 swimmers can be a challenge when it starts to change direction when feeding. All different levels of experience swimming and the crew kept us all safe and still allowed the required distances while viewing these beautiful creatures up close and in shallow often compromised visibility waters. After changing out if our wetsuit into dry clothes, we were off to Homosassa springs State Park. A nice break in the return trip to Orlando, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable walk around the park watching various species of animals and stretching our legs a bit before heading to our last highlight of the tour. Next stop was Wild Bill's airboat ride between Inverness and wildwood. Our boat captain Aaron was humorous as well as very experienced in giving us a thrilling, yet enjoyably relaxing ride on the Withlacoochee river in the surrounding area near the establishment. A short walk through the woods to the dock shows the diversity of high and low water lines that change throughout the season. Lastly, the long drive back to the drop off points allowed us to relax and recuperate on the way back to Orlando. This is where our driver Linda really shines, she handled the rush hour traffic with great skill and finesse. I was so grateful I did not drive this trip in my car as I would have lost the great memories being distracted by all of the intense drivers in an unfamiliar state. Thank you Ignacio and Linda for a very memorable experience!

We loved every part. We were taken care of well by both the guide and bus driver. The places we visited were so great. Swimming with the manatees at the Crystal Springs was a new experience for us. The boat driver made sure he found the right spots to find the manatees. The Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park was an added bonus that we didn’t realize we’d visit. Lots of neat animals to see including a 60 year old hippo. The airboat ride at Wild Bill’s Airboat Ride was also an exciting adventure. We saw lots of birds, gators, turtles and beautiful scenery. This tour is well worth the money you pay. Breakfast and lunch were also very nice. Loved not having to drive ourselves. Thank you for an exciting, fun and educational day!
