On this beginner Oahu scuba diving tour, first-time, intro and novice divers will learn the basics of scuba, and experience the thrill of breathing underwater with a professionally trained instructor. There’s no need for any certification or previous diving experience, and all the necessary equipment is provided for exploring the underwater world.
The adventure begins as you cruise along Oahu’s Leeward Coast, taking in views of Mt. Ka’ala and strings of sandy coves. On board, your instructor provides a thorough overview of the safety and basics of diving, before getting you fitted with a BC and regulator for the underwater journey. When you reach the protected instruction area, you’ll splash in the water and practice your skills with the instructor, who will show you how to clear your mask and use your inflatable vest.
With all the skills successfully completed, you’ll follow your guide away from the boat in search of tropical marine life. Scan the reef for Hawaiian green sea turtles or schools of colorful fish, and there’s even the chance some eagle rays will go swimming by in the distance. The reefs here are some of the island’s oldest, and during the months of December-April you could even hear humpback whales.
Aside from the fish, turtles, and corals, one of the day’s highlights is the friendly staff who burst with Aloha spirit, and exude exemplary customer service throughout the entire experience. Light snacks are provided on board, and there’s also the option of round-trip transport from your Honolulu hotel.
