Chinaman's Hat stand up paddle board tour

first lets talk about what's not going to happen. There is no instruction on how to standup paddleboard on this trip. See the girls in the picture standing on their paddleboards? If you do not know how to stand up on a paddleboard already, you are not going to learn how or be able to by the end of this tour. You will be sitting on your paddleboard as if it was a kayak. Our guide didn't even stand on the paddleboard. Also there was no instruction on how to use your oar as a rudder to steer, luckily i already knew this from kayaking previously, but others in my group did not and i had to help them! See the picture of the snorkeling person with the fish? This is not a snorkeling spot. There will not be any fish to see snorkeling. There is no reef here. Our guide told us this was not a snorkeling location and they did not even plan to bring any gear for snorkeling. I had to ask them to bring it, even though it's in the description that you can snorkel, which by the way we did not do, because, as I said there are not any fish there hanging around. There were a lot of snails on the rocks @ the island and maybe we saw a turtle, but no one else recognized it as a turtle except me, so maybe I didn't really even see a turtle, possibly it was just a rock. The gear was cobbled together and I was stuck with a shorter paddleboard which is harder to manage, and speaking of the gear, my paddle oar was taped together with electrical tape. So,if it's a sunny day and you are in Hawaii, it's still fun to paddle around in the bay, the view from the island was magnificent, the guides were super nice, but really it's not worth the price by any stretch of the imagination. There were plenty of people there who had just rented equipment in the bay and paddled over so it wasn't a really big secret or anything.
