NYC Lower East Side Walking and Food Tour

Our guide Billy, was fabulous! He absolutely made the tour! The food was all outstanding. He was even prepared with packaged food when he knew the line would be too long to wait. Donuts, bagels, and Katz Deli were our favorites. It was all good and interesting history of the area. Excellent. A must do!

Dante was delightful and knowledgeable but also super chill- we had a great time!! Food was plentiful and excellent but I especially loved the variety, there was something for everyone.

Dante is great. I wish the other tour guides of Viator was as attentive and diligent as him. I am truly disappointed with Viator in other tours i booked. For credibility- I am a Stanford MBA, executive, and a NYC resident. I am truly disappointed with Viator.

The guide was perfect and gave us a unique taste of NYC. His enthusiasm and personality made the experience so enjoyable. I would highly recommend and be sure to request Adam for your guide!

My friend and I really enjoyed. There were a few things we felt could be improved. It should have started with the bagels at 10:30 rather than Katz’s. The pickle store was great but everyone sticking fingers in container during Covid times was really just not ok. Use a fork or get separate containers. Would have preferred ending with donuts and pickles. It also ended at 1:00 when it was suppose to end 1:30 (I thought). We ended up going into the market by Williamsburg bridge and stopped at olive oil/spice place which was good, but our guide said we stopped because owner was there and he enjoys us coming by. What if he wasn’t. Would the tour have ended even earlier? Some of the portions were alittle skimpy such as the 1/4 of bagel and 1/4 of donut. How much is a bagel or donut that we couldn’t have a half. Everyone touching all the food breaking in half was not ok during Covid times and I’m really not super crazy with Covid. our guide was great and we did tip him as he deserved, but I’m sure he was following what the tour itinerary was. He Knew interesting facts and stories and was very pleasant. We had a good time but just thought there were some easy constructive criticisms that could be fixed.

Billy did a wonderful job telling us the history of this fascinating neighborhood and pointing out landmarks we would have never noticed. The food was also great and we were stuffed. We definitely recommend this tour!

Our tour guy Billy was wonderful! We not only ate many savory and sweet foods, he also shared a lot of interesting history behind each food and restaurant we visited. We all so enjoyed our day with Billy!

Eating Pastrami at Katz’s Deli was the best! Also learning more of the history of the Lower East Side from Adam was insightful.

I wanted to go on a food tour for a very long time and this was just the right one! Our guide Adam was very attentive and knowledgeable and made this an even more enjoyable experience! Food was amazing! Planning our next tour as soon as I finish with this review!

It is great to see and experience iconic restaurants such as Katz Deli and Russ & Daughters. Our guide Adam (reminded me a bit of Alden from Walking Dead) is an enthusiastic and energetic guide. He clearly loves what the area has to offer and he enjoys sharing his knowledge. Adam greets owners on a first-name basis so it is clear why Adam has so much background info. It was very satisfying to be on this tour.
