Jim was one of the best tour guide we ever had. He was very knowledgeable and professional. (He was teaching landscape history at university earlier, no wonder he knows a lot!) Especially he had very nice voice that is very pleasant to hear. His voice was very calm soft. But we could all hear him well. It was very nice. Also his restaurant recommendation was awesome. We went to one of his recommended oyster restaurant and it was great! We were very lucky to have Jim as our tour guide.

Great Choice, Friendly Guides

The Oak Alley Plantation visit was enjoyable. 3 hours there seemed like a lot initially but it vanished quickly with all there is to see on the grounds and the tour of the house itself. There is a small bar right there fortunately with a couple of reasonably priced options including a very nice mint julep made with mint grown on the property. The boat ride (not an airboat, so we could hear) and Captain Tom was perfect. Lots of gators come out as well as some other wildfire and he is beyond informative and lasted quite some time. Really enjoyed this part of the trip also and would highly recommend. Dionne and our driver were excellent. Friendly but not annoying, and extremely informative. Made for a welcoming and pleasant trip. All in all I would rate this highly and felt the value was definitely there over some of the much higher priced similar options.
