Interesting but too long
, Oct 2021
Plantation itself was very interesting Beautiful Oak trees and a lot of history and valuable experience Unfortunately whole trip takes 5 hours of travel time with just about 45 minutes on a plantation itself

Yes unfortunately the Plantations are a ways away for downtown New Orleans ,but you spend about 2 hours at the plantation.
Enjoyable but somewhat depressing

Simply wonderful. Our driver was fantastic as he regaled us with information and facts along the way to our tour. Tour itself was interesting, informative and the main house inside and out were beautiful. The history of the plantation was both fascinating but also somewhat shameful regarding the slaves and I'm sure toned down for the subject matter.
Very moving

The tour guide Renee at Laura for an excellent job! The emotion she embodied by telling the story of this plantation and the enslaved people made all the difference.
Definitely See Oak Alley

The Plantation House was interesting. Our tour guide however seemed unattached to the group and gave a memorized speech. The information provided was still good. We then had abundant time to self tour on the property. The guide down by the slave quarters was excellent with both his knowledge and an engaging personality. He also grew up a mile or two from the plantation.

Group tour was weak our tour guide was Jackson he was monotone and boring!! Charlotte outside by outhouses was informative and great enjoyed the outside structures and drinka tha I purchased tulips!
Driver with no mask
, Aug 2021
Our bus driver, KP was coughing all through the way with NO mask! Wish the lives of slaves were given more attention rather than focusing just on the owners family history
Don't miss it

Our bus driver , KP, was engaging, helpful, and informative . He knew every customer by name and catered to whatever they asked or needed. Our guide at Oak Alley, Mr Anthony , was equally excellent
Disappointing experience.

It was very disappointing experience. We took a tour to Oak Valley Plantation. My advise is if you have you own vehicle don’t take this tour because the only thing you will get from them is transportation to the Plantation and back. You will pay twice more for this and will lose couple more hours for picking up and dropping off participants of the tour from different hotels through the city. The general admission tickets to the Plantation include guided tour that goes every 15 min, and you can easily get it any time for much less money. For example, we paid $ 222 for group of 5 with this company. If we would drive in our own to the Plantation and bought tickets on the site, we would paid $ 75 for the same tour. When we asked the company what is the add value of the trip with them that costs us $147, they told us that that it is transportation and some history that driver provided us during the ride. Driver was very friendly, but he didn’t provide any information, we were listening to the radio all the way long. Company is not very client oriented and explained us that it’s our fault and no refund. I agree it is our fault choosing this tour and this company.
