Thanks for this great review and recommendation! We definitely try to explore the culture of New Orleans through its stories. Stories help you “get” the spirit of a place, make a more memorable impression than a list of names and dates, and are just more fun. Everyone loves a good story, and we have them! We are stockpiling more, so please come back and walk and talk with us again! Libby

Two things run through every aspect of the history and culture of New Orleans- water and music. Eliot is a musician, which is why I think he was drawn to the city where Louis Armstrong said “music is everywhere,” but I think he fell in love with the culture and spirit of this amazing place. So of course, he includes music in his telling of the stories of New Orleans. I’m so happy you enjoyed seeing the French Quarter through Eliot’s eyes, and we thank you for sharing your experience in this great review. See you next time! Libby

Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable about the area. He was very interactive with all of the guests. He answered all questions. He was very passionate about the French quarter. We learned so much and it was the highlight of our stay.

The highlight! Oh, thank you so much for saying that! I’m so happy you enjoyed your tour and got your questions answered. Questions make a great tour and we really shape each and every tour around the interests and curiosity of our guests. No two tours are alike! Please contact us next time for recommendations or to discover another area of New Orleans on another tour. Thanks for reviewing! Libby

Incredible History in New Orleans Tour
Valerie_M
, Apr 2021
Our guide, Peak was very knowledgable about New Orleans history. She came prepared with historic pictures and plenty of interesting facts about the city. She obviously loves the area and her passion for it shows through. We walked closer to the river from Jackson square as it was quite loud there. As soon as we all were in the same spot, a train rolled by that was incredibly loud and long. She was undeterred and continued her tour by giving us more information about the river and some of the boats that were parked there. Nice recovery. I would highly recommend Peak from Viator.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review describing a typical tour guide situation! The French Quarter is loud, exciting, and completely unpredictable. Road construction, spontaneous parades, trains, boats, festivals, streetcars, other tours, street performers, scattered thunderstorms, and broken water mains are just some of the things that can force a tour to take a detour. It keeps us flexible and creative. Peak knows so much about New Orleans and is such a go-with-the-flow person, that her tours are relaxed, fun, informative, and always unique to the guests and the situation at hand. Please come and tour with us again and see how we handle the next curve ball! Libby

Yvonne was full of engaging historical information and stories. We learned and appreciated so much more of the French Quarter than we could have without her guidance and expertise!
