Awful

The tour guide was boring …as presented by our female guide … she made it quite apparent t she would rather be elsewhere and she was just trying to get it over with! …at the starting point she talked non-stop for 32 minutes and gave everyone 10 minutes to climb a massive amount of stairs to explore the stuff she talked about for 32 minutes. People were actually falling asleep. Next stop was a short visit across from a church which she kept most people’s attention. Then we walked about 1/10 of a mile and she started talking about the Grand Ole Opry ghosts…. Meanwhile other ghost tour groups passed us on the other side of the street and seemed to be having a very good time with their active and apparently fun guide who by the way we saw at the top of the stairs at our starting point after climbing the steps. ..he was walking and talking with the participant instead of just talking nonstop. Our guide’s grand ole opry stop produced more sleepy people and my friend and I agreed we had enough of this boring woman who talked nonstop about insignificant stuff and was lazy. Meanwhile the other tour passes us with more happy participants as he is explaining something to his group… he was a totally different tour company. So very disappointed! Don’t waste your money on this tour! Id like to get my money run back ….

Lots of history but boring

The guide was great. Very informative. The information and tour were not that exciting. It was a lot longer then expected.

We completely understand that our all-ages tours can be less exciting for individuals eager to hear the dark and gruesome history of Nashville. We appreciate this feedback, and we will use this for future improvements. If you would like, we would love to have you experience our adults-only tour so you can enjoy the more exciting and descriptive paranormal history.

Don't bother

Not worth the money. There were 5 stops listed on the itinerary and we were only taken to 2 of them, the state Capitol (the meeting place) and a Presbyterian church. The rest were random, including a "creepy" dog mural (weird, but not ghostly), the 505 building (supposedly Nashville's most famous cold case happened "somewhere around here"), and a dental office (this was completely random because it had nothing to do with anything, but the guide took the opportunity to discuss "the bell witch cave " outside of Nashville). We were told the story of the Ryman, but the guide clearly didn't want to walk to the location (where according to the itinerary we were supposed to spend 30 minutes) and "let the group decide," which meant she said "you guys don't want to actually walk there, right?" before quickly moving on. The tour guide was hard to hear with the street traffic (no mic) and very sketchy on important details, like dates and names. We were constantly jaywalking and standing in front of places where we clearly weren't wanted. A panhandler awkwardly came up and "performed" for us and expected money and the guide just stood there until some of us awkwardly started moving away. For a ghost tour, there was very little discussion of actual ghosts, hauntings, or paranormal evidence. We make it a point to do a ghost tour in every major city we visit, and this was by far the most disorganized and least fun. There's were no suggestions of good spots to take pictures (in fact, we usually couldn't even see the buildings when the guide discussed them) or where to get more information. FYI: We didn't enter any of the buildings and there were no opportunities to use the restroom or get something to drink, so keep that in mind on this "family friendly tour."

I am sorry to hear you had this sort of experience with us. It is extremely unfortunate that we did not give you a worthwhile tour, and we want to do anything we can to make it right. It is per the discretion of the guide to decide the exact route for the evening depending on foot traffic, however, we expect our guides to visit 5 to 8 stops per tour. Our guides are also supposed to project their voice to make sure all the guests can hear despite the distracting sounds around them. It is very disheartening to hear that your tour was not organized or enjoyable, and we promise that is not the standard at our company. We would love to offer you free tickets that never expire and can be used in any city we operate in, to hopefully give you a much better experience.
