We had a very good wine tour with Ian as our guide. It was a beautiful day enabling us to view the countryside at its best. Ian was very knowledgable and guided us through the various wine styles which we found extremely helpful. On a personal note, I found 4 wineries each with 4 wines to sample too much, but I am in my late 70's . The 4 young people we were with didn't seem fazed at all.

great to be able to get away after lock down. We went mid week and so our group was only 3 people (including ourselves) which was perfect allowing us to ask any questions and get to know everyone. Lovely wine, lovely people, lovely day.

Great Wines

Lots of local knowledge from our guide. Visited 4 properties and each gave tastings of their own grapes. The newest of the bunch however served wine in tumblers. Always hold a wine glass by the stem so as not to raise the temperature of the wine - difficult to do this when served in a tumbler. Also visited the local lookout which gave a great view of the Hawkes Bay area.

Hi Ann_H, thank you for your review and touring with us. Yes stemless glasses are a recent phenomenon in NZ & perfect for red wine. Te Mata Peak is always a fabulous trip with an amazing 360deg view of or region. Kind regards, Hamish & Di

Kerry was an amazing guide, and clearly knew his stuff! We learned a ton about both wine and about the area, and the small tour let us get to know our fellow passengers a bit, too. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

Loved our tour. We had a luxurious Merc (7 seater), a friendly and knowledgeable young lady to drive us and a wonderful visit to a range of Wineries from Major player to emerging business. All served us a range of excellent wines to suit all tastes. Desa (our guide) also presented a lovely cheeseboard. Our final stop was Te Mata Peak (always a hit with me). Altogether a wonderful experience. Picked up at 12.10 and dropped off at 5.45. Great value for money.
