This was the best tour my husband and I have ever been on! Our guides, Hernan and Edgar were knowledgeable, fun and kind. I would highly recommend taking their tours when you are in Merida, as they will exceed your expectations!

This tour really let you in first to Chichén Itzá! You'll have all the pics you needed before other people comes.. Our guide, Hernán the shy Casanova really knows his stuff. He brought us to an amazing cenote in the back of a Mayan family's house. There's nobody else but us.. Awesome!!

Great Tours and Cenote and Lunch in a Private Home

The tour operators provided lots of cold bottled water during the entire trip (and some cold beer at the end). The tours of Chichen Itza and Izamal were educational and very well done. Our tour guide sped us through the ticket lines and was very friendly. During the tour he was knowledgeable and a great presenter. Lunch and the cenote were at a private home, which I thought was a great experience. The cenote was beautiful and our group had it to ourselves. The food was as good as at any restaurant in town with great portion sizes (and seconds). The only thing I could wish for was advance warning in the advertisement as to how much cash would be required for admissions (which as advertised are not included in the tour price). The ATMs at Chichen Itza were out of order the day we were there. Our tour guide, however, helped out some of our group using PayPal. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

One of the best tours I have ever been on! Harnan was amazing. We were able to beat the crowds or go to not crowded areas for better photos and experience. This tour felt more like a day exploring Mexico vs. being a tourist.

This tour was amazing! I loved having a smaller group and a fully bilingual guide! Raul was so knowledgeable about the Mayans! He was also sure to make sure we were all comfortable and well fed too! Lol. Van was comfortable, guide at the ruins was in-depth, the cenote was amazing, and the lunch was superb! I made the right choice with this tour, for sure!!

I have taken many tours and this tour with Hernan of Chitzen Itza, Izamal and a cenote rates among the best experiences I've had! Hernan provides great information on the Mayan culture via presentations during the tour and answered all questions along the way. Hernan is obviously someone who loves his job. All our expectations were met (and exceeded). Visiting the Mayan family and enjoying their hospitality and their very own cenote was very special. Well off the beaten tracks of those "highly traveled" and visited places, you'll enjoy the countryside and get a better understanding of how people live outside the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. I highly recommend this experience!!

Hernán is a pro. He’ll get you to Chichen Itza before the crowds and the heat, and he’s extremely involved and knowledgeable about the communities he’s showing us. The cenote at the end is INCREDIBLE. It’s in the backyard of a family in Sotuta, near Izamal. It’s such a special experience and worth every minute!

An Excellent Tour

Do not hesitate to book this tour. We arrived ahead of all the crowds allowing us to really appreciate the ruins. Our tour guide took us to a Mayan pyramid close to the center of Izamal we were able to climb. The highlight though, was the Cenote and lunch. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, hospitable, and this tour was an outstanding value!
