Nice but not worth 150$

The guide was awesome. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about botany and he played the ukulele. The experience was underwhelming. It’s not a true hike all together it is about a 10 minute walk to a view of a waterfall. The path down to the waterfall was washed out so we didn’t get to see the waterfall up close. The chocolate tasting was fun and informative.

Aloha Kindly Note: We keep people safe and save lives, the guide was corrected it is not that the trail is washed out, it is for human safety that we do not take people down there, with global warming there are more and more flash floods at all waterfall areas, with the rise of flash floods more lives have been lost with people getting washed away, families loosing fathers, mothers children, entire families being lost! We are trying to bring awareness around this tragic fact that there needs to be more waterfall safety information given to the public. We are here to help save lives. Also we state that it is a easy fun hike less than a mile, and the second half is the farm to table chocolate presentation making it a fun two hour experience, so we are sorry you did not read that as all this information is on their web site. and the information sent to you prior to your visit. Also kindly note this is a charity fundraiser to raise the funds to put this sacred historical heritage site into preservation and conservation hence the focus is that we invite those who are on vacation that want to give back to a good cause first and foremost so for them the price is nothing as compare to the great feeling they get from doing good and helping to protect a sacred Hawaiian treasure like the Kings Gardens Maui, they love the fact that they get the chance to give back so we can then put this location into conservation being one of Hawaii's greatest historical Hawaiian heritage sites and Voted Best Of Maui.

My husband and I loved the waterfall hike and chocolate tour! It was nice to stop and hear about the plants, culture, and history! Our guide was very knowledgeable. One thing I do wish we had brought is bug spray, but the guide had some which was good. Over all it was a great experience!

We loved this hike and chocolate tour. The tour guide, hana, was so knowledgeable! The hike was not hard or long, but it allowed us to see so many cool plants and the waterfall. The choclate tour was veey interesting and the chocolate was delicious. They provided a snack, which was also good. I highly recommend this adventure!

Kindhearted Patricia, Thank you for this lovely review it really helps those who are wanting to know if we are the real deal feel confident to book. You therefore are doing a great service helping people to make a decision to book. And 100% of the funds goes to charity so that we can do great work not only at the gardens, but also helps us to raise the needed funds to help feed over 60 homeless and underprivileged families in Maui every week. Thank you so much again for your generous contribution and taking the time to write this lovely review.

For Nature-loving Adults

Very educational tour. We traveled with a young family and my kids under 10 years old were not interested in all the nature facts . As a mom who loves and appreciates nature so much, I should have booked just for myself since it’s an extremely pricey two hour tour. Also, We were asked twice for our receipt to show proof that my family of 6 had reserved and paid for the tour— that was a turn off. The rainforest walk to the waterfall was short. Sighting of the waterfall was brief, and the chocolate presentation was detailed and very informative.

Sir, we are sorry very about the confusion with your booking we have been overwhelmed with the number of visitors on island and made this innocent mistake we did apologize at that time for this mistake that day, we ask that you please find it your heart to please forgive us. As you can see most family’s 94% love the experience that we provide here we therefore humbly ask that this innocent mistake is forgiven and to please allow us to make it up to you🌺Also this is a charity fundraiser we hope that those who visit are those who are interested in helping a good cause while in vacation and that this is a big part of their interest for visiting. For them the price is their way of giving back while on Maui. Also on our web site we offer a 30% discount for those who want to visit and help a cause like ours but are on a budget.

Intimate experience of island culture and flora

This was a highlight of our time in Maui. Kona was an engaging and informative guide. His love of the island, his people, and culture shine. The gardens are beautiful and what I always pictured Maui to be like. The description says we could swim in a waterfall, but we saw one (not two) and only from a distance. That disappointment aside, I would go again. The chocolate tasting was fun! Didn't match the description, but fun
