Worth trying it

The hike until the sea caves was great. But I felt the overall experience was very short (2.5 hours). I wish it was longer. The advertisement says 6 hours. But even including travel, it summed up to 4.5 hours.
Good vibes

Great guide but shame about the honesty before we set off
, Jun 2019
Jose our guide was amazing, really friendly and helpful and looked after us all really well. In the morning we saw how rough the sea was and rang up to check with the office before leaving whether it would still run and whether we would be affected. They assured us that it would and then after we’d walked the thirty minutes to the cave we were told it was quite dangerous to go in that day and given the option of trying to still go in or visiting the other cave or cancelling or coming back another day. I completely understand that weather conditions are outside of the company’s control but they could have been a bit more honest about the options before we set off. If the seas very rough I’d recommend trying to rearrange for another day before you set off!

Hi emma Thanks for leaving the review, we were not 100% sure that it would be cancelled we always do our best to be honest with clients however there are days where we cancel and its possible and likewise. The weather we have here in July is very unpredictable and ultimately its the guides call when he see the sea on the day. I'm glad jose looked after you.
Sea Caving Tour Cova de Colums- Hike, Swim, 2 small optional cliff jumps

Guides Juan and Lauren were very knowledgable, experienced and upbeat, couldn't have been better. There was a 30-40 minute walk both ways and swim to the cave. Well worth it. Spectacular views the whole way and the Cova de Coloms were surreal. My children, two 13 year olds and one 15 year old, were at a perfect age to also enjoy. We all have hiking and swimming abilities. My 13 year old nephew said it was his favorite Spain excursion so far! There was one stop right before the excursion, where you can purchase bottles of ice water. I bought two more in addition, which was heaven if you do the trip in the summer. I also made the mistake of bringing my hot tea to drink in the van, which was not air conditioned. If you have a water proof camera or go pro, it is worth bringing to take in your pack. It says leave valuables at home, so we did and had to have another person in our group take a picture to send. You leave your back pack before the swim, if it is not water proof. It may be difficult to pack a camera in your wetsuit as well. Not sure if it is allowed.

An absolutely awesome tour! Most of my photos unfortunately didn't turn out since there was condensation in my waterproof case, but the the ones that did turn out didn't do it justice anyway. Jose was a great guide, and although there were only two of us on this tour, he still took us out and showed us a great time. A few words of words of advice though: This is not for everyone. This is a pretty physically demanding tour which Viator doesn't necessarily do very good job of disclosing. There is a 40 minute hike each way to the spot which is very rocky and uneven, and slippery if it's wet. Bring your hiking shoes! Also wear pants, not shorts. The girl that was with me got her legs pretty cut up by the bushes on the hike getting there and back. The other thing not mentioned is the 200m swim to the cave or 100m if you cliff jump. The water was pretty rough that day, so that swim exhausted me before I even got to the cave. Again, I would highly recommend! Just recognize that this is a pretty physically demanding tour, but the results are worth it!

We had a great time on this tour, highly recommend! Everything from the hike around 1 mile each way to the cliff to the inside of the cave was breathtakingly gorgeous. We did have to cliff jump into the Sea, around 2.5 meter jump, and then swim into the opening of the cave, just as an FYI for those afraid of heights. Also, in previous reviews, it was stated no swimming experience was necessary, which I don't particularly agree with. Not sure if it was just particularly rough the day we went, but it was definitely a little challenging to swim into the cave. It was pretty exhausting, so would definitely say you should be somewhat fit and comfortable with swimming against the current. The inside of the cave though was absolutely amazing, it felt completely untouched and was something unlike I've ever seen before. Was truly a natural beauty I would say should not be missed if you are in the area. I also liked that the cave was a little more untouched than the larger one many people visit, Cuevas del Drach. Overall, amazing experience with great, knowledgable guides.

Great guides with tons of energy...

Great guides with tons of energy. smaller groups might help bc so many tourists don't understand caving example i caught one person pee in the cave while we weren't looking so we couldn't stop him and a few people were touching so many formations I think if smaller groups went it would be easier to watch the uneducated people and stress how much they need to pay attention and care for the cave they are visiting. We did plan B. This was not as amazing so i wish we could be told the plans change before getting there but its difficult to do and that's why i am still giving 5 stars. This is a beginners trip i would've liked to sign up for something for more experienced cavers. nevertheless beautiful place and great to see plan A and plan B. Cheers to the guides

This was a fantastic trip! The caves were absolutely amazing, serene and beautiful! The hardest part of the trip was swimming to and from the caves but we had a life vest on so I knew I wouldn't drown. Jumping off the cliff was scary as well! The guides were so helpful and sweet and helped out tremendously! If you love an adventure, this is the trip for you! Thanks for our great guides: Juan and Jose! Both were fabulous!

Great experience. The guide Rafa took a group of seven people of varying ages and ability and made sure every person had an experience to remember. I would highly recommend this. The waves were too high to swim to the caves advertised but we had a great time in an alternative cavern close by The beer after Not included but thanks to those in my group was great too. Viator were also good at keeping in touch re the hotel pick ups etc.
