Wonderful overview of all the London spots

Despite this being a much larger tour than I expected, James did a truly excellent job. He was very knowledgeable and charming. We saw St. Paul’s cathedral. Our tour were virtually the only people there. It was very interesting. We then went to see the changing of the guards where James took us right to the best vantage points to see the new guard and then the old guard despite the crowds. We then went to see the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels and armory. Lastly, we took a boat down the Thames. Very enjoyable day. Thank you James!

Great way to get a taste of London!

It was a great way to get a taste of the city without having to navigate. We toured St Paul's and saw a changing of the guard away from Buckingham Palace. Because of the Jubilee, we couldn't get close to the palace. Enjoyed seeing the Crown Jewels and the Tower of London. Had a nice lunch of fish and chips. Thames River cruise was enjoyable as well as the London Eye. Breath-taking views of the entire city from there. Would highly recommend this tour and our tour guide, John.

Worst Tour I Have Ever Taken
    Brenda_R
    , Jun 2022
Coming from the tourism and hospitality industry, I tried to be open-minded about this tour. But, at the end of the day "disappointed" is the only word I can use to describe my tour with "Best of London". We took this tour 3 days after the Queens Jubilee and I understand some changes needed to be made to the tour. I am sad I did not get to see the outside of Buckingham Palace but it was understandable since there was still a lot of breakdown happening from the Jubilee. But, what disappointed me was the tour guide, who really was a lovely gentleman, made the executive decision to skip the "Changing of the Guard" altogether and take us to a modern mall rooftop to look out over the city of London. This was a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my elderly mother and she was gutted we did not get to at least see that. We ended up spending extra time inside of St. Paul's, which was beautiful, but I think we ended up spending an extra hour there. We zoomed passed other points of interest on a bus and did not get to have any of the photo opportunities the tour talked about. We had lunch outside the Tower of London, Fish and Chips, which was "ok" at best but the tour guide did not mention there were other options. Once inside the Tower of London, the tour guide did a lot of "stop and go" storytelling that was not based on history. We ended up walking away from the group and wandering around the grounds on our own, seeing more and learning more than we would have had we stayed with the group. The best part of the tour was on the River Thames. We felt like we saw more of London on the boat than we did inside the tour bus. Per site Overview states: *See the English capital’s top landmarks on this most comprehensive of London magical tours. - Could not see them because the bus driver zoomed passed them and did not have the opportunity to take any good photos *Take a tour of beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral - stayed way too long *Then make a photo stop at Westminster Abbey - did not happen *Watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace - The tour guide decided we would not watch the changing of the guard and this was disappointing - we understand with the Queen's Jubilee we could not see the palace that was not the tours fault *visit the Tower of London - tour guide told too many personal stories and didn't give enough history, my group broke away and did our own thing *free time for lunch (own expense) - tour guide didn't tell us we had other options so we all got stuck with terrible-tasting fish and chips *Enjoy an extended river sightseeing cruise - the best part of the tour *upgrade to cap everything with a London Eye flight or cream tea at Harrods. - We did Harrods and it was amazing Would NOT recommend this tour. I am just gutted and extremely disappointed in the whole experience. And, coming from this industry, I feel like the tour guide should have, at the beginning of the tour, said "folks this is why we cannot see the palace... Do you still want to see the changing of the guard?" and take a vote as opposed to making the decision. He should have also had a plan of action for people who paid a LOT of money for this tour but instead he "winged" the tour. We paid over 350 Euros for a tour I wouldn't give 45 Euros for!

Loved St Paul’s you. Very informative. James was fantastic as a guide! Highly recommend! This tour gives you a good overview of the city and buildings. Everything from a 200 year old Roman wall to modern government buildings.

    DISAPPOINTED!!!

    , Jun 2022
The only saving grace about the tour was the guide, who was knowledgeable and professional. The tour itself was a disaster, the tour company completely dropped the ball on the venue timings, boat timings and other constraints due to which we ended up waiting and doing nothing for about 60% of the total tour duration. Very disappointing. We could have seen more ourselves without paying hefty price for the tour.

Amazing tour with tons of attractions to see. Our tour guide was carol and she was absolutely amazing in getting us from one place to the next. We had an hour to eat before seeing the Tower of London and had plenty of time to see all the towers. We did london eye as a separate excursion but should’ve done it with this tour! Thank you!

We traveled with 7 including a 14 and 8 year old. Tour bus was clean, tour guide was outstanding, and since we had a limited time in London this was the perfect tour to see almost everything in one day. I highly recommend!!

Tour guide, James, was terrific!!! He was so knowledgeable and did an excellent job managing a large group. He made our day! The bus driver, Tony, was also very good. Got us through some tough traffic. At the end, we transferred to Alan, in the antique red bus, for our final stop at Harris’s for tea. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a lot in one day. Alan was also very good.

Nothing memorable. Anything lacking was due to preparations for the Queen's Jubilee and were out of the tour guide's control. Narrative on what we were able to visit was great.

Our tour director “Carol” has a lot of knowledge and very friendly. However the directions for where to go to get on the bus was a bit confusing. Viator needs to have someone at the entrance at Victoria Station so people will not be looking for where to go. Other than that, it was a great experience.
