A day in the country

Leeds Castle was fantastic and the best part of the trip. The cathedral and Cliffs of Dover were really good also. Overall a great day of sightseeing. Our guide, Dan was very knowledgeable with lots of commentary and driver Mario were terrific.

We loved everything about this day excursion! Not having to drive was wonderful. Chris drove professional and even took different routes because of traffic to save time. David shared informative info, answered questions and made it fun. Leeds castle was updated throughout the years so inside was okay but the gardens were exquisite! Definitely go inside Canterbury Cathedral, it is unbelievable. The Dover Cliffs stop was perfect for a pretty picture and to have seen them. The boat ride back was a blast! I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour with Tish

The gardens at Leeds Castle were unexpected and amazing. Tish was a great guide and gave us the highlights while allowing us to explore on our own at both the castle and cathedral. Walking the streets of Canterbury was fun. We happened to be there on market Wednesdays when all the vendors were out. I wish we had a little more time to spend there, but we covered a lot of area in this one tour. It was an incredible day. We learned a great deal from Tish and enjoyed all of it!

Great tour, but be sure of the details

The visit to Leeds and Canterbury were terrific! We were not anticipating that the Dover visit was so far from the cliffs, though. Also, we expected the river boat ride to be a private ride rather than a ride on a public Uber boat. If we had known more about the last two stops, we may have booked another trip without those aspects. But our tour guide, Morton (I think!) was terrific and so friendly and knowledgeable.

Incomplete itenary

The trip to Dover was cancelled. Nothing else was offered as compensation (money or another place). We were briefly taken to a museum but that was already within London and a rushed visit for 30mins.

A nice day out in Kent

Well organised tour, the itinerary was JST right, the stops were well timed and best of all our tour guide Mark was great. Experienced and humorous

Good, unguided tour, could be improved.

Overall, a convenient and good tour to join to see Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral. While the guide provides info during the coach ride, you will explore the 2 sites on your own. The visit to Dover is nothing but a 10 min stop to take a photo from the side of the road. Boring. Should not be included. And Viator out to be factual about the water taxi ride. It is not a riverboat cruise. It’s like taking the tube, and they only announce the stops.

Could have been good, but...

Our originally scheduled tour was canceled, so we opted to take the tour replacement offered for the previous day. The Leed's Castle portion of the tour was reduced due to guests staying onsite (we did not get to see the State rooms), and an event taking place. The castle guide seemed to rush us through what was already a vastly reduced tour. We then got caught in an EPIC traffic jam on our way to the Cliffs of Dover...something we believe the tour company should have been aware of since it was all over the news and had begun to be a problem in the Dover area the day before! Our tour guide did the best he could under the circumstances, but our tour of Dover was completely missed/canceled, since we had to keep to a schedule. The Canterbury Cathedral portion of the tour was very good, and we were glad to have time to explore on our own. We then were supposed to go to Greenwich for a boat ride, but we got caught in yet more traffic and, essentially, another traffic jam. The tour guide suggested we all get off the bus and walk to the boat. After some whiney woman on the bus complained about having to carry all her "fragile china" she'd bought in Canterbury, the tour guide offered to carry it for her, so we could all get off the bus and still get to the boat. My partner and I (along with another couple) opted to simply get off the bus and exit the tour, completely. While our guide did the best he could, given the circumstances, we found this to be a terrible tour, not worth the price we paid...and it was the VERY FIRST tour my partner and I have ever taken. Given all the problems, and the fact that the tour company should have known about the Dover fiasco, we have received ZERO contact from the tour company nor any sort of suggested discount/rebate from our original booking price. We would NOT recommend this tour company.

A nice ride outside London

All aspects of the trip were enjoyed. The only issue is this trip advertised a box lunch, which did not happen. With the expectation on a box lunch, the day was long when no box lunch was provided and no stop around lunch time where food could be purchased happened.

No lunch, Dover a waste of time

The visit to Leeds Castle and Canterbury were great. The trip to Dover is worthless. You stop in the harbor and you see some white cliffs way off in the distance. We also did not get our lunch. Evidently, they weren't ready when the bus left, so we had to squeeze in some last minute scrambling for food in Canterbury and there was no compensation for the missed lunch.

The tour guide, Tony, was great and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed visiting Leeds Castle and seeing the cliffs especially. We ended up seeing the cliffs from afar from the beach. Canterbury Cathedral was beautiful, but is under construction right now.

Great Day!

Loved the day! We arrived at Leeds Castle just as it opened, so we missed all the crowds. Beautiful castle in a beautiful setting! Wished we could have gone a little closer to the cliffs of Dover, but we understand why. Canterbury was a lovely spot to visit and we learned quite a bit about the history of England at the Cathedral. Morteu, the tour guide and Armando, the bus driver were very informative and lead a great day! The day was about an hour shorter than anticipated, so I would suggest that the group could have spent another 1/2 hour at Leeds and Canterbury..... just an idea! Overall, I would highly recommend the trip!

Leeds Castle and Canterbury tour

I went Leeds Castle and Canterbury. It was fun to see the castle which the grounds and the castle are beautiful. Stopped at Dover to see the White Cliffs. Dover is a great little place by the Channel. Pablo was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history. This was a half English and Spanish speaking tour. I met some great people and had a good time. I would definitely do the tour again!

Pablo was an excellent tour guide. He made sure we all had everything we needed including how to find our way home at the end of the tour. This trip was definitely worth my time.

Leeds, Canterbury, Dover.

Wonderful trip without the crowds. While everyone else is heading west to Windsor and Stonehenge go east to Leeds. Canterbury- the old part of the town and the cathedral are both inspiring. Just gorgeous. Leeds is wonderfully refurbished. Dover is only a brief picture taking stop but still nice to see. Finish the day off with a boat taxi back down the Themes to see the waterfront lit up at night. Well worth the cost. And Matt(tour guide) and Tony(driver) were both very professional at their jobs. A bonus was the supplied box lunch which saved time for more site seeing rather than waiting in a restaurant.

The attractions are so alluring and The U.K. should be proud about it. The flow of the tour was further enhanced by our ingenious tour leader, Sandra, who is quite pleasant to listen to and is well equipped with knowledge about the sites. Simply Wonderful!

Beautiful locations - wish we had more time!

The overall itinerary was great. As always, the short visits leave you wanting more, but no complaints! The organization was efficient and well-communicated once we met the tour guide. Prior to that, however, I was confused as to where to meet and details of the trip - and I wasn't the only one! The information says to pick up a separate ticket at 8am, but when we showed up at the ticket office they said it was unnecessary and to go meet by the buses, which didn't depart for another half hour. Strange. And the meal box was terrible, but that was to be expected. Overall, a great tour experience.

The Leeds castle grounds were great and the stops at Salisbury and Dover as well as Greenwich made for a good day of sightseeing.

Great day with Tish and Koli
Jeremy B
, Oct 2019
We had a great small coach tour with tour guide Tish and driver Koli. Leeds Castle is so pretty, and I do feel that we had enough time there. Afterwards, we were given boxed lunch on the coach, which was tasty enough. We spent substantial time in Canterbury, where we were let loose to explore the Cathedral (there are some Kings' tombs there!) and wander the fun shopping areas. We barely stopped on the beach in Dover, but the whole tour would need to be different in order to give us more time there in the castle or something, so I'm not upset. Then we ended in Greenwich, and took a nice boat back up the Thames (this wasn't a boat for just the tour, there were also commuters on it, seemingly). I recommend this tour!

Mark our guide was uninterested and did not interact with clients. Hardly spoke a word and only chatted with the driver. However the driver was friendly. Tour guide makes a tour and Mark was horrible at it.
