Disappointing - guy didn't turn up and is now not responding to my messages

Operator failed to turn up. Later, he (Jack) responded to my voice messages by offering me a voucher for an extended session at a later date. This voucher never arrived. Now, Jack has failed to respond to a text message and a further voice mail, after I have booked more annual leave and sent non-refundable payment for accommodation to stay in the area to give my child the experience I had arranged in the first place. I understand that he was going through a difficult personal time and I was patient and forgiving - we wasted a day of our holiday after months of being confined to the house - but there were positive reviews given during the period between my booking and the day he failed to arrive, including the previous day. Moreover, the failure to respond to my messages suggests rudeness at best, and inefficiency and poor professionalism at worst. By all means, take your chances, but I don't fancy dangling on the end of a rope with a guy this reliable in charge of my safety.
