Returns to original departure point
Begin with pickup at your Jackson Hole or Teton Village-area hotel, then travel into Grand Teton National Park in a van that accommodates up to 12 people. Hear the frontier history behind the ‘Shane’ cabins, an old fashioned homestead with a rugged mountain backdrop, and a film site for the classic western movie ‘Shane.’ Your guide will share colorful stories and facts throughout the tour, providing fascinating context as you soak up Grand Teton National Park scenery.

Try to spot bison and antelope as you cross Antelope Flats, where grassland rolls straight to the base of the high mountains; this is the perfect place to capture classic shots of the the peaks at their most dramatic. Continue to Signal Mountain Lodge, where you can dine inside or on the scenic deck, which looks out towards a Jackson Lake sunset. Order from a full dining menu, and relax with early evening views.

Make the return trip via Moose–Wilson Road, a scenic drive that’s known for a thriving moose population. Use binoculars and spotting scope along the way to watch for wildlife through the van’s panoramic viewing windows, then exit the park as the first stars appear above the Grand Tetons. This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Ryan worked hard to find the “critters” we were looking for! Dinner was great and we ate what he recommended from the menu. He was very knowledgeable of the area and helped us plan our trip to Yellowstone. Asked on what we told him we would like to see. When we come back we will look him up for sure.

Tim was excellent! He is so personable and fun. We had a great time and saw so many animals and incredible scenery. We encountered two grizzly bear cubs, a black bear, dear, antelope, an elk and 2 day old calf, coyote, fox and several other smaller animals and birds. It was probably the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this safari!

Special thanks to our tour guide Ryan. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. He drove his 4-wheel drive van to take us discover animals. He also explained the animal ecology well. He answered customers’ questions well. We had a wonderful time looking at pronghorns, herds of bisons and elks. It’s different from scenic tour, but definitely worth of joining! Thanks, Ryan.

Unfortunately, this was one of the...

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst tours that we have taken with this tour company. I admit it was not entirely the tour company's fault in that there was one couple that had to be picked up inside Grand Teton National Park, and then we had to go back outside the park to start the tour, and it really seems to have thrown off the timing. My suggestion though, would have to be, that in this situation to pick up the other passengers 30 minutes or so earlier than normal so that you can accommodate the extra time. We really didn't see much wildlife I know that is always a hit and miss-so not blaming the tour company for that. However, it seemed that we just drove around in circles a couple of times. Pulled over a couple of times to see the little bit of wildlife that we could and couple of lakes, and then had dinner. The sun set while we were having dinner, so we didn't get the great views of the sunset, and the drive back to Jackson was pretty much in complete darkness. The guide told us that we would normally be coming through about 30 minutes earlier, so the chances of seeing wildlife would have been greater, but unfortunately as I mentioned, the timing of the tour was off. I wish I could give a better review....but this time it just was not worth the money spent. :-
