    An amazing and unique experience

I was vacationing in San Juan with my husband and 2 children (19 and 16 years old). We all loved the whole experience. The 3 guides were very helpful, confident and efficient. They have picked out the perfect route that let's you hike through the rainforest for 45-60 minutes and then each person in the group gets to repel down the waterfall and you end with 3 ziplines. After working up an appetite you finish with a wonderful home cooked meal. This experience was challenging, but we were extremely supported the whole way, and exciting and gave us an experience that felt off the beaten path. I highly recommend it!

Everything was amazing. The people were very friendly and understanding, even when I chickened out with the repelling. My husband and I really loved it all.

    Challenging, but SO worth it

I read the reviews which said it was kind of challenging and man…they did not lie. The hiking part was steep and strenuous but it was a rush. It led up to the best part which was the rappelling down the waterfall. The ziplining was also enjoyable too. The guides were very helpful the whole way and made sure we stayed safe. It’s def a memorable experience. The initial hike IS tough though so in my opinion if you have zero to minimal physical activity level, this will be very difficult for you. But outside of that, it was awesome and I’d recommend.

    Awesome Experience!

The experience was good extremely rewarding after being challenge by the hiking. The tour guides were extremely professional & very encouraging to those who walked the trail with them. The view was beautiful & the trails were extremely clean. Lots of different terrain & obstacles in order to the zip-line, and waterfalls were you repelled down. At the end of the day you was rewarded with grandmas cooking & a nice cool down period. I recommend bringing shoes you don’t care to mess up and at least a couple protein bars, light snacks, and water. I would definitely do this again! Worth both the money and time. If you’re in Puerto Rico, then sign up for this experience.

    Best Activity of Trip

I can’t say enough great things about this tour and the guides! This unique tour is well worth your time and money. Please don’t let the description scare you away from experiencing this amazing adventure. Our group of 7 which consisted of four 50+ moderately active individuals and three early 20’s college kids decided this was our favorite activity of the entire trip. Two of our guides, Gabi and Elli, picked us up in a nice air conditioned van, and we headed to the mountain. Gabi gave us a thorough description of what to expect and also discussed points of interest along the way to our final destination. After a short 45 minute drive to the starting point, we were allowed to use the restroom and fitted with our gear for the adventure. A third guide, Sammy, joined us at the starting point along with everyone’s favorite hiking canine companion, Pinto. The most grueling part of the adventure is the very steep climb to the beginning of the trail. Don’t let this short climb discourage you though. The trail is well traveled and has ropes to help in problematic areas. Plus, the guides take the time to help each individual in whatever manner is needed (showing you where to place your feet and hands or providing a helping hand if warranted). The guides stop after “difficult” portions of the climb and offer to take pictures at the waterfall of you and your companions. Once you reach the beautiful waterfall where you rappel, the guides give a very thorough explanation of what to expect and how to tackle the activity. They are also not only very patient but also very encouraging with each individual. They even take the time to video and take still pictures of everyone during their descent. The zip lining portion of the adventure is also quite fun, and once again the guides take the time to ensure everyone’s safety and erase any fears an individual might have. After the tour, a delicious home cooked lunch of chicken, beans, rice, and flan is enjoyed at “abuelita’s” house before boarding the van for the return trip. The tour size is small (max of 10), and there are no other groups doing it at the same time to detract from the experience. As I mentioned, this is an amazing tour that everyone in our group would do again. Thank you for an awesome one of a kind experience!

    We were picked up right...

We were picked up right on time and we were whisked off on an adventure. Gabi and his team were a hell of a lot of fun and took care of us throughout the whole river hike as well as up in the hills to zip line down. As an added bonus Pinto (amazing doggo) followed us everywhere. I would definitely recommend taking this tour as it is a bit of physical effort but in return for a lot of fun.

This was amazing! Tougher than we I thought it would be but so worth it. Alfonzo and the rest our guides were incredibly helpful and kept us safe. We had to rock scramble and climb up a river approximately a quarter of a mile and this took about an hour. Slippery rocks but it was so fun. Once we finally reached the top they taught us how to repel down an 80 foot waterfall. It was absolutely beautiful. Once we reached the bottom we got to zip line down three different zip lines which was probably the easiest part of the whole trip but well worth the view. When we finished, we ate home-cooked food which was absolutely delicious! This trip was well worth it. It is physically challenging but what an adventure.

We had an amazing time on our adventure. One of the best adventures I have ever done in the Caribbean. It was challenging but fun. The guides were truly amazing at helping and making everyone feel comfortable. And to end the day with Grandma’s home cooking and flan! Great Puerto Rican experience!

This was an amazing experience! Highly recommend for anyone visiting San Juan who wants to do something physically challenging. The hike upstream was beautiful and harder than I (almost 50 year old but in pretty good shape) expected, but our guides were so helpful and literally showed me where to put my feet at times so I could make it up. The rappelling was so fun- i was a little nervous but they were so encouraging and made clear that they were not going to let anything go wrong. It’s a beautiful rush going down. The ziplines were fun and had great views of the forest. My teenage son who hates hiking loved it too. Can’t say enough good things about this experience as long as you are physically able to handle it. It is not for folks who aren’t active and capable of scrambling up a steep mountain stream!

Once in a Lifetime Expedition into the Jungle..
    Carrie_A
    , Apr 2022
Enough cannot be said about this hidden gem of a tour. If you are wanting that truly “once in a lifetime” adventure, this is your chance. This expedition begins as you climb up a river (yes, you read that right) and make your way into the thick hidden region of the rainforest. Only one small group a day enters this private sector. (There were 8 in my group). Fully surrounded by wild jungle. Yes, you will rappel down a really high waterfall and yes, you will zip line through some amazing canopy. And when you emerge, you’ll enjoy a traditional Puerto Rican lunch. But what truly makes this day epic are the guides. We had Alofonso and I wish I could spell the other 2 guys’ names. Their methodical care for safety combined with patience and encouragement given to each of us, gave even the most hesitant people an incredible fun day. Things to know—You should be in at least good physical condition. I’m a senior that’s out of shape and I just managed it. But I felt in Beast-Mode when I was done. Tons of self confidence. Again this is thanks to the guides. You will hand-over-foot up the river boulders and rocks and the river will be up to your waist at times. But the water was warm and surrounded by the most beautiful lush floriculture I’ve ever seen. Before you arrive be sure to follow the written instructions on your confirmation letter. Towel, drinking water, change of clothes, water shoes with good grip, etc. This is the ‘Black Diamond Run’ of all the rainforest tours. And the Apex excursion of the whole island.

Hiking, Rappelling, Ziplining, and Exploring in a Small Group

This excursion was amazing. The guides were skilled, kind, and accommodating. The activity was unique and provided the full "rainforest experience" with hiking up the river, rappelling down a waterfall, and ziplining through the trees. Our group size was small (only 9 people) which allowed for a fun, intimate experience. I suggest this for everyone.

Fantastic hike off the beaten path

    , Apr 2022
My husband and I did this tour with our two teenage daughters. It was by far the best experience we had in PR. It is off the beaten path, trekking through river rocks, steep inclines and of course the rappelling and zip lines. Our guides Gabriel, Alfonso and Sammy were awesome! Also, the lunch was great. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

One of the best experiences we’ve had. Everything about this experience was top notch. The guides were very knowledgeable of the area and led the activities in a very safe and fun manner. Beautiful scenery; great exercise (recommend some experience hiking in very uneven terrain). Already have recommended to my other siblings and families who also enjoy the outdoors.
