Great experience

This was such a beautiful trip! There is a small cafe with beer and wine at the top
It was super cloudy and foggy when we went but still worth the trip!!!!
Lots of stops on the way up and down with a lot of food and shops halfway, also an alpine zoo that we didn’t visit
The views were spectacular

We waited a few days until the clouds cleared and then caught the Nordkette Cable Car. The trip starts off in central Innsbruck by taking you underground and then up the side of the mountain to Hungerburg. We changed into a classical cable car and then travelled up in the open to Seegrube where we stopped over for coffee or hot chocolate and Apple strudel (or something else?). We then caught the next cable car up to Hafelekar where we walked to the very top and whilst standing there the clouds started to reform! We had an enjoyable, typically Austrian lunch at the top and then caught the three stages down, ending in the centre of Innsbruck
Amazing view from the top

We had a gorgeous day to go to the top of the mountains.
This is a perfect program on a hot summer day. The coldest temperatures at the top of the mountain was 8 C, but because it was a sunny day, we did not need more than two layers, and no jacket at all.
The rides were smooth and panoramic.
I would do this again anytime!

The tour itself was spectacular, however we did run into some unnecessary problems. First we parked in the garage at the conference center... 12 extra expense. We went into conference center, and wasted about 30 minutes searching for the actual station. When we got to the ticket counter, I had misplaced the printed voucher, but had electronic one on my phone. Which clearly stated they would accept electronic voucher. When I got to window and showed to young girl she just handed me a sheet with email and wanted me to email. But there was no WiFi available. Tried to copy/paste for about twenty minutes! Finally an older lady came to the window beside her and I told her the problem... she asked my name and poof, She pulled out an invoice which was right in front of the young girl with my name and the voucher for 4 senior citizens... This delay and the rude, uncaring attitude put a damper on the whole experience!!

Came on a day trip from Salzburg just to take this ride and visit the Old Town and we were not disappointed.
You start in the town and take the funicular train up to Hungerberg Station which offers a great view over the town, but the real highlight is the next two cable cars which take you up to the top of the mountain from where a magnificent vista can be seen with the whole of Innsbruck below you surrounded by snow capped mountains. Simply stunning and would thoroughly recommend.

My second time, doing this mountain trip - was just as nice as the first time! :- I really like the flexibility option of the ticket, you can go up and come down at your convenience. Just beware of the time of the last run of the cable car on the way down - it's very easy to lose track of time once you're on top of the mountain!

This was awesome!!! :- Well worth a visit right to the top. The best part is that it's flexible, so with this ticket, you can go up and come down when you want it's valid only for a one way ascent and one way descent, and you can get off at each stop if you'd like, as you make your way up or down. But you can't go part way down and then come back up again. I went in May, so there was still plenty of snow lying around in Seegrube and at the peak, Hafalekar. The 360 degree views are outta this world! I also stopped in at the Alpine zoo, and spent about 3 hours there. The bears and wolves were very cute - but fast asleep though. Small word of caution - the zoo is built right into the mountain - and I can't believe I didn't see this coming - involves quite a bit of upward and downward trekking to get to many of the animal enclosures, so be prepared for this. Carry water and some snacks with you too to have at the top. There's only one restaurant and it's slightly pricey. Some of the stations have toilets, too. All in all, if you wanna get out at each station and look around thoroughly, this takes up about 6 - 8 hours of your day. If you're pressed for time, a quick ascent and descent only for the views might take you around 3 hours. I'm certainly gonna do this again, and soon! Cheers.
Great views, great weather...

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
