Meet your guide bright and early in central Glasgow for your full-day tour. Grab a comfortable seat in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach for the northbound ride toward the Glencoe, a glen of breathtaking beauty that boasts high mountain peaks, ridges, bubbling rivers, and waterfalls. Along the way, pass the ‘bonnie, bonnie’ banks of Loch Lomond for some stunning views of Scotland’s largest loch.

In Glencoe, enjoy a scenic stroll to stretch your legs, and learn about the historic MacDonald clan that resided here and suffered in the brutal massacre of 1692. Afterward, hop back in the coach to continue your journey through Great Glen and past Fort William, a key military post during the 18th-century Jacobite Rebellions.

Sidle up to the banks of Loch Ness, where the tour breaks for some free time. Explore Fort Augustus, grab some lunch or take an hour-long cruise on the loch for a chance spotting of the famous Loch Ness monster (all activities at own expense).

After your lunch-time break, continue back toward Inverness and wind through Cairngorms National Park. Catch lovely views of peaks and waterfalls, and hear about the series Monarch of the Glen that was filmed here. Head over Drummochter Summit and soon arrive at the charming Victorian town of Pitlochry, where you have free time to explore before heading to Perthshire.

From here, begin your return trip to Glasgow, passing Stirling Castle on the way. Snap some photos of the historic site—former residence of Scottish royals including Mary, Queen of Scots—and learn about its colorful history, riddled with warfare such as the Battle of Stirling Bridge led by William Wallace.

Then relax for the return ride to Glasgow, where your trip ends back at the starting point in the late evening.

Our tour guide, Jeff, was amazing he deserves 10 stars. He kept everyone entertained and laughing for 12 hours and I would recommend this tour company based on him alone (Rabbies trail burners). I felt like we were all treated to a master class in Scotland history and facts and it was easy to tell Jeff had a genuine passion for sharing his love of Scotland. The scenery was 10 stars. The pictures do not do Scotland justice .. every shade of green imaginable and I didn’t even mind that it rained because you don’t go to Scotland expecting all sunny weather, and I feel like it made for nicer pictures. I booked this tour from Glasgow and I was thinking its main focus was on Loch Ness …. But it turned out to be a lot of short stops at a lot of places. The upside is that we got to see a lot more of the highlands then we expected but the downside is that our stop at Loch Ness seemed rushed. I would recommend packing yourself a lunch and that way you get more time to explore Loch Ness at Fort Augustus and not worry about finding a place to eat and waiting for food. Overall I give the tour 4.5 stars One other thing I should mention was the bus.. I was travelling with my friend and we are both guys with wide shoulders and the bus was tight for us. It was very hard to get comfortable and stay comfortable for 12 hours .. I think for any normal couple it would be fine but two guys sitting together I would recommend a shorter tour or try to get yourself in the last row which looked to have a bit more wiggle room. Overall I would give the bus 4 stars but again that’s only based on the fact we were 2 larger guys.. I would recommend if you are larger people grab a train to Inverness and take the tour from there as it would be less time on the bus but you would totally miss out on Jeff the tour guide Overall it still deserves 5 stars and I would do it again

Fabulous day trip!

The whole day was great! Our tour guide was knowledgeable and funny, which just added to the experience. I would definitely recommend the cruise on Loch Ness if you’re able to, I learned so much about the Loch. I would bring some water or a drink with you to stay hydrated — there are so many stops and later stops have good/drink options but earlier ones didn’t (that i could tell).

Truly a wonderous trip to eerie Highlands of Scotland! The driver/guide was very kind and provided some nice historical tales of the areas as we travelled through the country. Lot of sitting in a car, obviously, but totally worth it. The driver made a good amount of stops for photos and leg-stretching. The views were amazing!
