Pros: Cliffs of Moher - must see (we got to see them from the ferry and from the walkway - awesome) Aran Islands are lovely The guide/bus driver was friendly, a little funny Timely Cons: The listing showed Cliffs, Islands, and the Doolin Cave but we never saw the Doolin cave. We only got to see one (the smallest one) of the Aran Islands - best shopping is on the largest one. The bus had heat on at the feet and air conditioning blowing overhead - waste and uncomfortable, especially when the driver would turn the air off. Guide/driver was very hard to hear so we missed most of the interesting stuff, and he droned on and on for the entire 90 minute bus ride...both directions. We also got to hear his political views on all the latest social issues (no thank you). And The guide also decided that we needed assigned seats but didn't say so until we had already left the bus and returned (few of us made note of where we were sitting and bus seats don't have row/seat markings so...this created chaos and passenger irritation). Bottom Line: The sites are fantastic. Cliffs are amazing. Aran Islands are lovely. If I had it to do over, I would find another tour operation. I would give more time for the Islands. And I would visit the Doolin Cave as planned. I would not necessarily recommend this service...the sites - YES, but not the service.

Thank you for reviewing our tour. Firstly, we don't go to Doolin Cave, it's not on our itinerary / schedule, we do go to the smallest of the Aran Islands, Inisheer, this is on our itinerary / schedule and this is where you went. If you were looking to go shopping on the largest island, than you were on the wrong tour. I'm sure if you'd have asked the driver / guide to turn off the heating, he would have obliged. Our driver / guides are there to tell you what you're looking, to provide guidance during the tour and to tell you a little about life in Ireland. You may not agree with his views on his life in Ireland, but they are his views and he's entitled to them. We don't assign seats on our coaches, It does happen that people do try and move seats during stops, the driver may ask to return to your original seat. I think you should have read our itinerary / schedule before booking this tour, I think you were actually expecting another operator.

John was a great guide, very engaging and helpful! The sites were unbelievable. The Shipwreck alone was worth the trip! We were lucky with the weather, so the Cliffs were stunning.

Our driver Pader was terrific, very informative and a great driver on narrow streets in a big bus! The day was long but had a good pace to it! Highly enjoyable!

The weather did not cooperate for a good part of the day but we really enjoyed ourselves very much. We were traveling with my 80 year old mother that struggles with her legs and mobility. Everyone was so considerate and accommodating. It was a great day.

Best ‘dad’ jokes ever. Wonderful, perfect day (sunburn at the cliffs!). Great guide, great mix of history lesson of Ireland with our private time to explore the island and cliffs on our own. Highly recommend it!

A fantastic way to see and learn a lot when you don't have so much time. Like, I was only in Galway for a couple of days, so this was a hassle-free option for me. And bus driver Jerry made the trip very fun. Would recommend!

Enjoyed seeing the cliffs of moher and hiking in the Aran islands. More time at the cliffs and for dinner would be nice. It also would have been better if it was a smaller group.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher Day Tour. "You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time". John Lydgate. Our tour departs Galway at 09:00 and returns around 19:00. The tour price includes a fully guided coach tour, return ferry to Inisheer and entry to the Cliffs of Moher. That is a packed day for €60.00. We're able to keep the tour price low by filling the tour coach, 53 seats, everyday. I'm not going to apologise for operating a great value tour.

Fantastic tour with Gerry. He is so knowledgeable and kept the day engaging. Very lovely to learn about Ireland & it’s history. Beautiful views and scenery. We weren’t originally planning to visit the Aran Islands too but we are so glad we did- absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend!!

Wild Atlantic Way day tours, Moher

The Cliffs are Moher by boat and bus are incredible, Jerry is an excellent driver and tour guide. I think the tour should have started about 15 minutes earlier because it felt a little rushed to make the boat departure , but other than that , this was a beautiful site to behold from the Aran islands to the cliffs, and through each town. Great stories and songs from Jerry made this tour memorable.

The trip is good but when I booked my trip it says hotel pick up and hotel drop off, this information is not correct. You need to walk to there location to take the tour bus. Tour company refuse to do pickup or drop off.

Thank you for reviewing our Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher Day Tour. You are 50% right and 50% wrong in relation to the hotel pick up service. We offer a complimentary pick up service on all our tours from all hotels and registered accommodation providers within Galway City. To book a complimentary pick up you have to contact our local office the day prior to your tour with your booking number and reference number. These instructions are clearly indicted on all tickets. Of course, if you're hotel is within walking distance of our departure point than rather sending a coach to you we will suggest you walk to the coach. But you are right in that we do not offer a drop off service.

A must see tour from Galway!

A great day trip from Galway. John was a great guide and a fantastic driver. We considered renting a vehicle and are so happy we didn’t. The roads from Galway through The Burren and down to Doolin to the ferry to the Aran Islands are extremely narrow and treacherous. John and his sense of humor and excellent driving skills made it a wonderfully enjoyable trip. We enjoyed the horse and buggy ride on the island and still had time for some hiking and lunch. The boat ride to see the Cliffs of Moher was great and we had plenty of time to hike them as well. John even worked in a photo stop on the ride back to break up the trip. A wonderful day!

John was outstanding! The trip was an incredible value! Bring euros for paying once on aran islands. But overall an amazing experience. Would recommend and John was amazing. Also the sooner you're at the bus, the better your seats. Your seats are permanent.
