Freeport Shore Excursion: Round-Trip Beach Transfer to Taino Beach

Unfortunately we had to wait a little until we could start trip at freeport Harbour. The guide was difficult to find. All in all it was somewhat disorganized. But the price / performance ratio was relatively good in comparison to the offers of the cruise line. Then we startet our trip to the beach, with other guests that booked another trip. So we stoped first at a tourist shop. According to the description, this stop was not part of our trip. Tano Beach we can also only recommended in an limited extent. Nice beach, but all services are relatively expensive. E.g. two sunbed and one umbrella for extra 20 USD, although entrance fee (about 6 USD p.P.) has already been paid. Likewise food and Drinks are relatively expensive.

I was very skeptical to book this due to the reviews being either very good or not so good. Our experience was great! There were 10 of us. We were picked up and dropped off on time. Bryce was amazing! Thank you!!!

If you want a low cost, easy day trip to the beach this is a good choice. After a very minor bit of confusion about the meeting point/time between two different tours at the cruise port, we were picked up by a very friendly and jolly driver named Uncle. As we drove the 15-20 minutes to Taino beach he jabbered on about the island, the different landmarks, and asked about the eight of us in the van. Once we got to Taino Beach and paid our 3 per person fee we were pleasantly surprised that the beach was nearly empty so we picked a spot close to the beach, rented two umbrellas for 10 each for the day, and enjoyed the beach day. The water was great, beach was clean, there was food and drink available for purchase, and a number of water sport rentals. The locals were there trying to sell their goods, but they were not overbearing. The only negative was that the snorkeling was not very good, but we did see a number of small to mid size fish and a large stingray. By about noon there were maybe a couple of hundred people at the beach. As promised Uncle was there to pick us up a little early. On the way back we stopped at a little candle store to shop for ten minutes. They had candles, shirts, hot sauce, rum cake and all of the normal island souvenir stuff. He delivered us back to the cruise port with plenty of time to spare. Uncle was the type of guy you didn't mind giving a tip to as he was friendly and just enough goofy to make the van ride interesting. If we return to Freeport we wouldn't hesitate to do this again. I definitely recommend the morning pick up due to the small crowd and it was HOT in the afternoon. Good choice.

We had such a great time! Beach was cozy and we had it all to ourselves for almost 2 hours.

Firstly the pick up was 30 minutes late, having been waiting in a totally different area to where we had been told to stand. This reduced our beach time considerably. When we got to Taino Beach, it was a disappointment. Broken glass, rocks in sea. The taxi driver on the return trip was a madman!

The beach was nice-kind of rustic, but it did have bathrooms, Changing rooms,showers,and food. Admission was only $3.00,included in the price of the trip. Chairs and umbrellas were very reasonable,also snorkels d kayaks etc. The bus had no brakes however driver compensated well. Take a taxi.
