Fun Tour - and then some.

Clearly the workers go out of their way to ensure guests have a memorable time. Super friendly, respectful and informative. Pick up time was scheduled for 7:40, but we were picked up at 8:10. We had to purchase goggles (those of us who didn’t have glasses) and a mask (to put over our faces and protect us from all the dust). At first we felt like that was unnecessary, but once we drove into the off-roads, I realized it was the best thing we did. So bring around 30 dollars to buy the extra gear if you don’t have it. The tour was definitely off-road. We drove through some rough terrain. If you have back problems, this is not your tour! You will get very dirty! Some of the buggys were in pretty bad shape; particularly mine… it was perhaps the oldest in their inventory, rusty and beat up. But we made the best of it. It did it’s job to take us to and from. We stopped at the beach for 20 mins. The beach was pristine. Clear waters and nice sand. What you need to survive is the amount of people selling you stuff. Although I understand everyone is trying to make a living, it’s overwhelming when several of them come at you. We stopped at a coffee tasting site. That was awesome as well. We tasted coffee and chocolate. Super delicious. And definitely bought plenty of it. The cave stop was also great! I wish there weren’t so many people. Too many scheduled tours to such a small cave. Once I got to jump in the water, it was awesome. We were then taken to a stop to look at the photos they took of us. They were nice, so we bought them. Bring cash for that too. The drive back was heartbreaking. So many kids on the road begging for money. We were moved to tears to see the poverty in this part of the Island. I recommend each tour company donate a portion of their proceeds toward these kids schools, or anything else that can help them. Some of the people of our group (27 of us) came back without shoes. They took them off and gifted them to some kids. We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort and had a difficult time coming back into the resort. They stated this company does not have an agreement w the resort to enter their premises. After half hour, and many phone calls, we were let in. We complained to the resort and hopefully this matter will be taken care of. I am giving 4 stars because the staff did their best at ensuring we had a good time.

Dear client, we have returned a partial sum of your payment, due to what happened and at the same time we apologize for the delay in leaving the activity to be carried out, also for this reason we have rewarded all the clients of this shift with a catamaran excursion completely free. We are responsible for our actions and sometimes things happen that get out of control. But we still appreciate your comments.

BEST EXPERIENCE

Our tour guide Charlie was great! He explained everything very well and spoke various languages. He told us what to expect while on the buggys because there are many vendors and even little kids running after the buggys trying to sell stuff (which can get dangerous for them because they get very close) It rained the night before we went so it was very muddy! charlie did give options for if you want to get more muddy or less muddy. We went with a low buggy which had us SOAKED in mud. I noticed that the others that were in higher truck- like vehicles did not get as muddy. They had showers to wash off at the end, like I said we were soaked head to toe. However, you can absolutely avoid getting as muddy as we did. The cave and the beach stop were about 30 minutes each. The cave water was 25 ft deep and they were selling life vests for $2. Charlie made sure I felt comfortable going in because I told him I did not want to jump. When we went to the beach, Charlie watched all of our stuff because it is a public beach. I suggest taking your own pictures. They have photographers but they’re very expensive. I personally did not buy any but I heard others say it was like $200 which is literally more than what the buggy experience cost. I think it is worth the price. It honestly felt like we were there longer because they made great use of the time. Bring your own sunglasses and bandanas

This excursion is not worth the $$. They changed our time after we were waiting on our ride set up thru them. Charlie the guide was great. The water swim hole looked nothing like the picture. My daughter and i never went into the hole. I would never recommend.... beach sucked. Charlie awesome!!!

The only thing that was kind of irritating was the check i , how long that took, especially waiting with children. Everyone seemed to be taking their time. Otherwise an amazing experience! To everyone please bring lots and lots of sunscreen, snacks, drinks and sunglasses!!

The PERFECT excursion

This excursion was AMAZING! Charlie was our tour guide and he was great. You really get the full Dominican experience from riding the terrain, to jumping into the cave with fresh refreshing water, and learning about how they make Dominican cigars, chocolate, and rum. We also got to spend some time on the beach! I’m so thankful for Charlie and all the staff on this trip! 100/100 I would recommend for anyone planning a trip to the DR.
