It’s hard for me to give a bad review but it was also hard to sit thru this event. So many things they need to improve on. First is signage when you arrive at the hotel. No one knew where to go including the hotel staff. Turns out it was the second floor. Second was the introduction of the evening made no sense. They want you to talk to people in the room to figure out who the murderer was. There was no murder yet so??? There was no plot or any reasoning for any murder. They just jump in like we knew what was going on telling you to scan the QR for hints that absolutely made no sense. Maybe if the actors in the crowd would talk to people it would have made more sense it they didn’t want to be bothered either. It was a very awkward evening of mostly silence, people bored and on their cell phones waiting for the event to be over. The food was terrible but that is not their fault so I’m not rating them on that. I think the director should attend some other DMM to see how good they could be and how to layout a plot and involve the crowd. We knew quickly who the murderer was going to be but they never connected them to the plot. This was by far the worst one we ever attended.

Hello! Thank you for your comments. The Dinner Detective is very different from a traditional murder mystery show, and we are sorry our experience was not to your liking. At our venue in Denver, CO, the lobby reader board displays where our shows take place, and we will work with the venue staff to see if that can be made clearer. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope you have a great weekend!
