I can't say enough good things about this experience. We had an absolute ball and an amazing day with our hosts, the captain and the boat owner. We would absolutely book this again. This was the highlight of our trip. We spent the day with Daniel and the captain and the "skipper" dog. Our group was a mixed group of 11 people ages 25 to 67; all friends together on a cruise. Some couples, some same sex couples, some singles, all friends. All of us are frequent travelers and often travel together and independently. Each of us really enjoyed the experience. For starters, Daniel was great to communicate with before we arrived. Communication by e-mail and telephone was great and timely. All of our questions and wants / needs were addressed before we even booked. Our hosts were very accommodating and catered to our wants for snorkeling, swimming, beach, food, drinks, wine, etc. Daniel even assisted us in contacting a local taxi driver to pick us up from the cruise terminal to take us back and forth between the cruise terminal and the marina! We arrived to the cruise terminal and met our driver who drove us about 30 min from the cruise terminal to the marina to meet our hosts. Driver was very friendly and was able to bring a vehicle to accommodate our party of 11. We met our captain at the marina and boarded the dinghy for a short ride from the marina pier to the sailboat that was anchored in the harbor just out from the marina. We took two trips due to the size of our party. We had a couple in our party who are not as mobile as the others due to knee replacement, hip surgery, etc. and the captain and owner were very helpful getting us on/off the dinghy and boat. Once on board and introductions were made we had a short orientation and safety briefing to the boat and we were off! Our hosts were sure to have us put on sunscreen and hats. I can't stress this enough, USE LOTS OF SUNSCREEN and re-apply it often. The sun was hot! There is shade on the boat but not a lot. The boat was in good shape and comfortable. We set off for a short tour of the bay area and looked at some of the plantations and beautiful homes and architecture there of the homes on the water. Setting out into the ocean we made our way around the point to an area for snorkeling. This is the tub boat snorkeling area. As we were anchored offshort from the site of the wreck, we were able to swim up and not have to deal with any crowds of people. Our hosts timed our visit nicely and after about 15 min the other snorkelers left and we had the whole snorkel / dive site to ourselves.........other than the divers below us. Feeding the fish and watching all the wildlife was wonderful. We spent about an hour swimming, snorkeling, playing and jumping off the boat here at the first site. After getting out at the snorkeling site, we made way to sail to our next site to visit. Hungry after our swimming and playing our hosts had snacks set out for us after our first site. Bread, crackers, meats, cheeses, chips, and fresh cut fruit. Very nice snacks and plenty for even our group of 11, plus the captain and owner. Our hosts also provided several local beers, wine, seltzers, water, soda, and they mixed us up some rum punch that was quite tasty! Arriving to our next location we found a secluded private beach area. Apparently this area is the "party cove" for boats and people on weekends. On a weekday, we initially had one other small boat about a 1/3 mile from us who were also swimming, etc. and that was it. Very private and secluded. Nice sand beach here that some of our party went to explore. The water is very clear and lots of fish. We had a couple hours here and we swam, fed the fish, played on the beach and listened to some good music. Our hosts had a great bluetooth speaker and let us be the DJ and we played music from our phones. We spent several hours at the second location, staying in the water, swimming, and eating lunch. And lunch, wow, it was quite tasty. Fresh and plentiful, none of us were hungry! Fresh grilled fish, just caught that morning! Cheeseburgers pattied out by hand. Chicken and veggie kabobs. Chips. Buns. Fresh cut fruit. And all the "fixings" and condiments we could want. Our hosts served us on actual plates and utensils, not just plastic ware or paper plates and that was a nice touch. After lunch we spent some more time playing and swimming and just relaxing. We pulled anchor and sailed for about an hour back toward the harbor. During the trip to / from the harbor our captain and the owner told us about the area, the sights we were seeing, etc. Definitely entertaining. When we got back to the harbor we took a couple of trips in the dinghy back to the marina where our driver was waiting to take us back to the cruise terminal. Be sure you plan for any time change or difference between local time and ships time if you are doing this one from a cruise ship. We had plenty of time and our hosts got us back to the marina with time to spare from what we asked for; to ensure we got back to the cruise ship in time. Overall we give this a 10/10 and had a wonderful time. I hope we can visit again and we would absolutely book this one again.
