Best tour in Cozumel

We spent a wonderful day with our fun, knowledgeable and comedic tour guide, Catalina. She ask asked us what time we had to be back on the ship, then gave us options of activities we could do according to our liking. Our teenager even said that this was his favorite day of the trip! Highly recommend.

What a great way to spend a day in Cozumel island! Jerry was an awesome driver and tour guide. I recommend this tour highly to anybody that wants to have a lot of fun and learn about Mayan culture in the process.

Roberto our toir guide was super nice and knowledable. The tequila tour was defenitively a highlight. There was a guy making hand made tortilla and a pork dish. Wow that was excellent.

Great customized trip

This was a fun trip. We did get to see several things, and I loved that we were able to do what we wanted, when we wanted. Everything was great but we did not get to snorkel. The weather was not great, so that was not the fault of the tour, or guide.

While the private Jeep excursion wasn’t exactly what we were expecting, that’s not saying much because we weren’t 100% sure what to expect in the first place! Ha. There are some basic spots included in/suggested for the tour, but you really do have the opportunity to customize your experience and we weren’t quite prepared to do so. As a result, our tour ended up being a very basic excursion around the island hitting mostly touristy spots. This was ultimately fine for us as we were definitely in island rest mode and not up for as much adventure as we thought we would be. We wanted to get the lay of the land and did just that. We stopped at the Mayan ruins and, while interesting, we would probably not recommend unless that is very much your thing. We did the tequila tasting, which was fun (but be prepared that the tequila, while delicious, is very expensive to take home and cannot be shipped). We stopped along the east coast which was beautiful. And the snorkeling stop was a bit of a miss for us as the ocean was too rough to really enjoy it (not anyone’s fault there, obviously). Our biggest tip would be to do your research ahead of time and make sure you convey what you want to explore in the notes when you book or before embarking on your tour the day of. If you want to drive the Jeep, say so. If you want to explore the jungle or the jade caverns, specify that. The beauty of this tour is the ability to customize it. If you’re not prepared to do so, you’ll end up like us with a very touristy day and not as much of a true Cozumel experience. The absolute best part of our tour was our guide, Julio. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating (even stopped at the market so we could hit the ATM). If we go back to Cozumel, we will definitely do another tour with him (and be ready to customize it to our specific interests this time). All in all, take a chance on this tour but only if you a) are just looking to be in full-on tourist mode or b) you know exactly what you want to see on Cozumel, but want an expert to guide you through it.

We loved the personalization of our day with Miguel! He made sure we were always taken care of and safe throughout our day. A special highlight was being treated to homemade tortillas and fresh margaritas seaside. Being able to modify our tour to what we wanted to do for the day was amazing.

Amazing day trip to Cozumel Island

We spent a beautiful day at Cozumel Island. This private jeep excursion tour was very relaxed yet entertaining. We were picked up by our coolest guide "Julio" on the scheduled time. He drove us through the city of Cozumel north to south and east to west. Stopped along the way to take breathtaking photos against the sparking blue and emerald colored sea. . He took us to the quite beach where there was basically nobody. Tequila tour was very informative and fun. Mayan Cacao Chocolate tour was also very interesting. Our last stop at Tortuga beach club, we had delicious Fajita lunch followed by little snorkeling activity. Since it was a private tour we could spend as much time we wanted from the each spot we had visited. The duration of this tour was 5-6 hours but we ended up spending 7 hours. Time flew quick! If you want a relaxed (not rushed) tour i will definitely 150 % recommend this tour.

couple on an island tour

Our tour guide Julio was quite knowledgeable and personable. We were able to see so much of the Island via this tour, different beaches, the cenote, tequila tasting, El Cedral and snorkeling were highlights. The only downside was that I specifically stated our desire to visit San Gervasio, but the time was not managed well- seemingly more time devoted to taking us places where we could spend money, and around 3:00 when I asked for the 2nd time about San Gervasio- which we drove by a couple of hours earlier, our tour guide told us that we wouldnt have time to visit there. very disappointing

Amazing Experience!

The Jeep tour was an amazing experience! My husband and I had a great time with our tour guide Caty. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to adapt the tour to our wants and needs. The only down side to this tour is it was a little hard to find Caty at first and I had messaged them about a week before the tour to get a little more information and never heard back. Other than that I would definitely recommend this tour group.
