Cresus/ugly (he isn't) was a brilliant guide. Knew his stuff, had great patter and some dad jokes in there too. We felt we learnt .ore about Roman times more generally than just Chester in Roman times. At first I thought the outfit a fun gimmick but he kept producing examples of tools they used for eating, cleaning etc and explaining the differences in his outfit and what the elements were. We were encouraged to ask questions and he knew so much. We also asked broader questions about Chester that he knew. We left feeling full of knowledge and that we'd had a great time. It was just over 90mins. I'm heavily.pregnant and the pace and ability to find places to sit down was perfect. Also gave us a few places to explore later by ourselves. A great guide.
