Arrive at the Memorial between HMS Cavalier and HMS Ocelot inside Chatham Dockyard to meet your tour guide, dressed as a midwife, and your group of fellow fans, then set off on a walking tour.

As you make your way around the dockyard and some of the exterior sets of the popular show, listen to anecdotes about the show's filming, behind-the-scenes facts, and the history of Chatham Dockyard. Snap photos of the easily recognizable streets and buildings that are used to portray the area around what's known as Poplar Dock in the show. Marvel at the modern-day dockyard's ability to portray impoverished East End London in the 1950s and 1960s.

Great day

Brilliant day out, lovely to see where they film it & there's so much to see at the rest of Chatham.
A lovely tour.

Whole tour was very enjoyable and informative. Lovely walk and our tour midwife Irene was full of knowledge. A great afternoon.
Recollections from all the series of "Call the Midwife"
, Sep 2021
Irene our tour guide, absolutely lived the episodes of Call the Midwife as she took us round, and yes we could imagine the Poplar tenements and the new born babies behind the wooden doors which hadn't really got anything behind them. The exhibition of costumes and props was also interesting because this was what we had seen on screen.
Great tour with the inclusion of seeing the dockyard
, Sep 2021
Seeing a number of original props in a room only accessible by tour guests and guides. The tour guide was very knowledgable and easy to listen too.
Money well spent

Absolutely brilliant tour. Loved every minute. I’m not actually a fan of the series but went with my Mum who is. I now want to watch it. The guide was amazing. She was engaging and entertaining. Highly recommend.
Excellent all the way

What a fabulous day we had. I took my mum as we are both fans of the show. We met up with Irene (the midwife) who was so knowledgeable about call the midwife as well as the maritime centre. The tour was so well organised, i loved seeing the props which took me back to my childhood. Would definately recommend it.
Very enjoyable tour.

We have the best tour guide ever, very informative/knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable. Would recommend the tour to friends. Really enjoyed looking at the photos the tour guide shows us to help us remember each scene/episode.
Waistest journey to London/Chatham
, Apr 2021
The Call the midwife location tour , is not yet taking place due to restrictions. I was quite disappointed as my journey was expensive. Hopefully someone from Chatham docks will call me and hopefully offer me a upgrade. I never used my voucher yesterday 17/4/21. You wouldn't let me change my password as can't remember the first one??. I will go again, at least the new series of cal the midwife, starts tonight on bbc1 8pm.
Excellent Tour - well worth it !!
