Very Interesting and Fun Day

This is a great tour if you want to experience several items in a day. Please note that it will be an entire day activity, but that is what we were looking for. Leaving Cancun you are in a very nice, modern bus which is super smooth and great A/C. The bus ride from Cancun to Chichen Itza is about 2 hours 45 minutes. Part of that time our guide Karla educated us on the Mayan culture and understanding their calendar system. It was really interesting. At Chichen Itza you will have a guide based on on language spoken. Our group was about 10 people and it was very interesting. The entire area was amazing. Be prepared to be inundated by people selling things. Just don't stop or make eye contact unless you do want to negotiate on an item. There are a ton of people selling things. The Cenote swim was very unique and I am so glad that it was included. After a pretty hot day of walking around Chichen Itza it was nice to swim in a cool cenote. I'd say the food was average but if quantity is your thing then it was a buffet and you can eat all you want. I found it best to stick with a few things to try that are typical Mayan foods and you will enjoy it more. It was very professional and I'd do it again if I take a different family member with me. I'd recommend you bring sunscreen, water bottle, mosquito repellent (not bad just a few of them), a hat (for Chichen Itza time), some pesos for souvenirs, tips and it was nice to get the Mayan calendar explanation of your birth date with the certificate.

We visited chitchen itza and the Hibuku Cenote and it was an amazing experience. Our tour guide Ruth Samora was great! She was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about the Mayans. At the same time she made it fun and helped the travel time pass quickly! I would definitely recommend this tour company. They arrived early and accommodated our small group along the way. The driver was also excellent we felt we were in very good hands.

Chichen ItzHOT

Our tour guides, Alexi, Diego and Benji were very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture. I think the excursion was too long. We were gone a total of 13 hours. I did not expect that. We made a stop in a small town that was not on the itinerary. I don't think that was necessary. Also, the stop in Valladolid was unnecessary since we were only allowed to be there for 30 minutes. That resulted in a short walk to the square to buy from street vendors. I think Chichen Itza and the Cenotes would be plenty for this tour. I recommend bringing an umbrella for Chichen Itza as the sun can be brutal.

Carlos for the win!

Carlos Moo was our guide, and he was excellent— so kind, funny, knowledgeable, and willing to participate in each activity. We had to modify plans due to Covid restrictions but Carlos made the trip pretty darn great regardless! The food was good, transport efficient, and swimming in cenotes was so refreshing! I definitely recommend this tour— but I especially recommend Carlos! Given the difficulty planning worthwhile tours right now, this is your best bet!
